Dear Families,
We would like to inform you that the home is now open to families following our booking system as we have had no further outbreaks.🙏
We kindly ask that you remain mindful when visiting. If you are currently experiencing symptoms of norovirus, or have recently been affected, please ensure that you are symptom-free for a minimum of 48 hours before visiting.

Important Visitor Update – Glyn Bargoed House

To protect the health and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and visitors, Glyn Bargoed House is temporarily closed to all visitors due to a norovirus outbreak also known as the winter vomiting bug.

We will begin welcoming visitors to the home 48 hours after the last symptoms have cleared, in line with health guidance.

We will keep families fully updated and let you know as soon as visits can safely resume.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding while we take these necessary steps to keep everyone safe.

Our wonderful residents would love to hear from you! We are looking for guest speakers to pop in for a casual chat about their career—past or present. Whether you’re a firefighter, a police officer , a doctor , army / navy your experiences bring the outside world in and spark such great conversations. If you have an 10-15 minutes to spare and fancy a cuppa and a chat, we’d love to have you!" Our residents had a wonderful time singing along to the classics and hitting the dance floor.Music has a special way of brining everyone together,and the energy in the room was incredible! : To those who gifted prizes we were blown away by the generosity of the local buisness, family and friends who donated such wonderful items for us to raffle.
: To those who bought tickets , every ticket you purchased goes directly in to our residents funds. So a massive thank you off residents and staff for making our Christmas raffle extra special this year.
