We are inviting you to tell us about pharmacy services in your area.

This is to help us plan services for our patients now and in the future to make sure they meet your needs, using a process called a ‘pharmaceutical needs assessment’.

Your answers will help us identify if there are any service gaps, for example whether a pharmacy (also called a ‘chemist’) is needed in a particular area, or whether more pharmacies need to provide a particular service.

Boil Water Notice!

During the course of routine daily checks we make on water quality, we identified an issue with quality of water at Tynywaun water treatment works. As a precaution whilst we investigate further, we have issued a boil water notice to customers served by this WTW.

This affects customers living in the following areas:

Blaenrhondda, Blaencwm, Tynewydd, Treherbert, Treorchy, Cwm-parc, Pentre, Ton Pentre, Gelli, Tonypandy.

All customers in these areas are advised to boil their water with immediate effect before using it for drinking or cooking purposes.

Treherbert Pharmacy is delighted to be signed up to the Greener Primary Care Wales Framework and Award Scheme and we are actively taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint. The climate emergency is also a health emergency. We therefore aim to enhance the health of our practice population and offer sustainable choices in how we operate and the services we offer to our patients. This will provide benefits to the NHS, your health, and the carbon footprint of healthcare.

It's the small changes that add up, such as our recycled paper formed pens and 100% recycled, non-bleached, water soluble ink and compostable paper bags.
