Good afternoon and warm spring greetings from LakeView on this lovely Friday, 1️⃣3️⃣th March. 🌷🌸🌼

Today has been a wonderfully busy and fulfilling day for everyone here. Our LakeView Residents and Team enjoyed many of their favourite daily activities, filling the home with laughter, conversation, and that special LakeView spirit that makes each day so meaningful. ✨😊

Alongside our usual activities, preparations have been in full swing for our upcoming Mother’s Day celebration. The home has been buzzing with joy as we engaged in themed activities dedicated to this very special occasion. Many of our residents also shared heartfelt moments connecting with their loved ones from afar — exchanging warm wishes by telephone and thoughtful letters. 💌📞❤️

This Sunday, we will have the pleasure of welcoming families into LakeView to celebrate Mother’s Day together. We are looking forward to a truly beautiful afternoon filled with love, togetherness, and live music 🎶🎤, featuring songs dedicated to all the wonderful Mothers and Grandmothers to whom we owe so much. 👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👧👵💐🌷🌹

Their kindness, strength, and endless love continue to inspire generations, and it will be our honour to celebrate them surrounded by family and friends. 💖🤗

🌸 Thursday 1️⃣2️⃣th March – Almost officially Springtime! 🌸

Although the calendar says spring is just around the corner, here at LakeView it already feels beautifully spring-like! 🌷

Yesterday our wonderful ladies had a busy and enjoyable morning in the garden, making sure all the bird feeders were topped up with plenty of treats for our little feathered friends. 🐦 It’s always such a joy watching the birds visit our garden.

Spring is waking up all around us. The flower bulbs are beginning to sprout, and the first signs of the season are already appearing – tulips, daffodils and hyacinths bringing lovely colour and cheer to our garden. 🌼🌷

Meanwhile, our gentlemen enjoyed a relaxed afternoon chatting together, reading the newspapers, enjoying a cup of tea and playing some classic retro games like snooker and Ludo. 🎱♟️ There was plenty of laughter, good conversation and friendly competition.

Some of our residents chose a more creative way to spend the day, colouring beautiful spring pictures and putting together puzzles. 🎨🧩 These peaceful activities are always a lovely way to relax and share time together.

We also made time to stay connected with our families, enjoying telephone conversations and catching up with our loved ones. We do miss them very much, so hearing their voices always brightens the day. 💛☎️

As the days grow longer and our garden continues to bloom, we are looking forward to many more beautiful spring moments together here at LakeView.

Because spring is not only a season – it’s a time of new beginnings, warmth and togetherness. 🌿✨

🌼 Tuesday, 1️⃣0️⃣th March 🌼

A warm welcome to everyone, and special greetings to all our wonderful friends and families. 💛

Although we unfortunately had to cancel our live music entertainment yesterday, we still enjoyed a truly wonderful afternoon here at LakeView Nursing Home. Our residents gathered together to celebrate International Women’s Day, raising a cheerful toast with a little glass of 0️⃣% Prosecco 🥂 (our little secret!) and enjoying a delicious homemade cake beautifully prepared by our talented kitchen team. 🎂

It was also a very special time for celebrations, as we marked a milestone 9️⃣0️⃣th birthday for our distinguished resident Alan. 🎉🥳🎈

And the celebrations didn’t stop there! Last Sunday, we also had the pleasure of celebrating the 8️⃣5️⃣th birthday of our dear resident Marjorie. 💐🎉🥳

With the live music cancelled, the afternoon quickly turned into a joyful karaoke session, where residents shared memories and sang along to their favourite golden oldies. 🎤🎶 The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and the wonderful sound of familiar songs bringing everyone together.

It truly was an afternoon full of music, sweetness, celebration and happiness.

✨ A Special Milestone for Our SAS Care Family ✨

On 5th March 2026, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate a very special occasion – the inauguration of our new home, Winsford Grange. 🏡🎉

This marks another important step in the continued growth of SAS Care, as we expand our services and our commitment to providing high-quality care and support for our residents and their families.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined the celebration and to all those who continue to support our journey. Your encouragement and dedication mean so much to us, and they play a vital role in helping our community flourish. 💙

A chilly morning outside, but here at LakeView it’s cosy, cheerful, and full of smiles! 😊 We’re feeling wonderful and send our warmest greetings to all our friends and families. 💛

The past few days have been delightfully busy! We’ve been spending our time actively, creatively, and joyfully:

🧩 Jigsaw puzzles for a calm, focused moment
🎤 Fun-filled karaoke sessions
💬 Heartwarming chats with friends
🎨 Creative activities – making beautiful Easter-themed crafts

Last Thursday, our talented hairdresser worked her magic ✨ – everyone’s hairstyles looked absolutely charming! And of course, our pamper days 💅 are always a highlight.

Life at LakeView is vibrant, cosy, and full of joy. Every day brings a new smile, a laugh, and a moment to cherish. 💖

Welcome to the 3️⃣rd of March at LakeView! 💚 March is a month filled with wonderful occasions and meaningful dates to celebrate and recognise – and today, on World Wildlife Day, we’re embracing the beauty of the natural world around us. 🐾🌍

It’s the perfect opportunity to chat about wild animals – mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish – and to reflect on how incredibly diverse and precious our wildlife truly is. 🦌🦉🐢🐸🐟

We have plenty of lovely activity ideas to enjoy today! From gentle exercises to the joyful sounds of The Carnival of the Animals 🎶, watching inspiring wildlife programmes by the legendary David Attenborough 📺, to getting creative with animal crafts and colouring – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 🎨✂️

Yesterday, we were blessed with beautiful weather, perfect for our very first spring walk of the year. 🌤️ Our residents set off for a lovely stroll around our nearby area, taking in the signs of nature waking up all around us. We admired budding daffodils and delicate snowdrops 🌼🤍, and listened to the cheerful birdsong filling the air… oh, how wonderful Spring feels! 🌸🐦

Some of our residents chose to stay active indoors, enjoying a lively game of skittles 🎳 and tapping their feet to the timeless hits of the legendary Neil Sedaka 🎵 – music that brings back so many cherished memories.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to stay connected – to nature, to music, to creativity, and to one another. 💛

Here’s to a joyful March filled with fresh air, friendship and the simple pleasures that make each day special at LakeView. 🌷✨

There was the most delicious peach cake 🍑🎂, heartfelt renditions of Happy Birthday, warm wishes, singing, dancing and so much joy in the air. It was a beautiful occasion filled with love and laughter.
