🤒 🤧 💊 Treorchy Pharmacy offers a FREE NHS sore throat test and treat service. Our trained Pharmacists’ can undertake a brief consultation & throat swab. If results show that your symptoms are caused by a bacterial infection they can prescribe antibiotics, whereas if the underlying cause is viral (meaning antibiotics won’t be effective), they can prescribe pain relief. 💊 🤧 🤒

This FREE NHS service is open to Welsh patients aged 5 years and upward. We offer consultations on a walk-in basis from 9am until 6pm each weekday.

We also offer paid private flu jabs for £20 for those who don’t meet the criteria for free NHS vaccination.

🩺 Middle and outer ear infections, pain, impacted &/or excessive wax
🩺 Respiratory conditions such as: sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, sore throats, tonsillitis & chest infections (5 years +)
🩺 Oral thrush
🩺 Bacterial skin infections - including cellulitis, paronychia and impetigo
🩺 Minor skin conditions including fungal infections (excluding nails)
🩺 Acne & rosacea (topical treatments only)
🩺 Inflammatory skin disorders: eczema & psoriasis (topical treatments only)
🩺 Dry skin
🩺 Skin reactions including: infected insect bites, stings, urticaria & hives
🩺 Repeat exacerbations of gout (pre-diagnosis required)
🩺 Shingles

If you’d like us to be able to receive your repeat/acute prescriptions electronically please pop in or phone us on: 01443 772183. Our team will ensure your prescriptions are electronically ‘nominated’ to come to us.
