Healing and recovery are not linear.
Some days feel strong and steady. Others feel like you’ve taken three steps back. That doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re healing.
As some of you know, I've recently had a hip replacement. I’ve been reminded (sometimes loudly!) that recovery isn’t about rushing. It’s about listening. Adjusting. Showing up each day and doing the very best you can with what your body allows.
And that, in itself, is an achievement.
I've spent hours in the pool walking and doing my physio and I've clocked up rather a lot of miles on the static bike. All of this is great for my recovery but even the small gains should be rewarded... the joy of putting my socks on without an aid! My message is really about being kind to yourself, something that most of us forget to do. Self care shouldn't be something we view as a treat. You're worth looking after. On that note, I had a well needed massage from Sally at Up And Running Treatments this morning 😊
To my wonderful clients — thank you.
Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for waiting for my return. Your support means more than you know.
I’m now back doing what I love, with an even deeper understanding of recovery, resilience, and respect for the body. 🥰
