Ridgeway Nordic Walking - Our Story
Get involved in ‘Green Exercise’ and feel how good it is for your body AND mind!
We are a friendly group of instructors and walk leaders with a passion for Nordic Walking and helping people to achieve their personal goals. Nothing makes us happier than to see someone learn about Nordic Walking, fall in love with it and then use it to hit their personal fitness goals or weight loss targets.
In order to fully benefit from Nordic Walking, we believe that using the correct technique can make all the difference, so if you have tried a ‘Taster sessions’, please book onto one of our ‘Learn To or Fast Track’ courses. These sessions will quickly develop your skills in a relaxed atmosphere and will give you the ability and confidence to effectively use Nordic Walking poles.
Our varied timetable of walks, in and around Tring, Berkhamsted, Bovingdon, Wendover & Leighton Buzzard, focus on the enjoyment of exercising outdoors, at a level that is right for you and most importantly encouraging fun and a chance to socialise. We aim to offer something for everyone: ‘Adventure’ and ‘Workout’ walks will encourage you to improve your fitness levels, Nordic Walking has been compared to the Cross Trainer at the gym. ‘Gentle Adventure’ & ‘Wellbeing’ Walks offer a slower, gentler pace for those who are looking to improve their general fitness or are interested in rehabilitation after an injury or perhaps surgery, especially lower body, hips & knees.
