Today we accepted a lovely invitation to attend the old parish church. An afternoon tea had been organised by the Troon Development Trust to remember VJ DAY 80 years ago.

Enjoying the sunshine ☀️. Activities over the last two days have been in the garden. We have had games, bingo, an exercise class and of course some ice cream refreshments. Let’s hope this weather lasts a little longer.

Our summer fete hoedown was a wonderful celebration, bringing together residents, families, and staff for an afternoon filled with music, dancing, and laughter. The lively country tunes and cheerful atmosphere had everyone tapping their feet. It was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces enjoying the day together. We are incredibly grateful to our amazing staff for their hard work and creativity in making the event run so smoothly, to the families for joining in with such enthusiasm, and to our residents, whose warmth and joy made the occasion truly special. It was a perfect example of the community spirit that makes our care home feel like one big family.

This week we had an armchair travel to China and enjoyed some Chinese food prepared by our amazing kitchen team. We enjoyed coffee mornings and an afternoon at the Troon Tea Dance. On our way home from the tea dance we stopped into Give A Dog A Bone and enjoyed some cuddles with Raven and had a look in the shop. Today we enjoyed a games afternoon with dominoes and scrabble.

Highlights of the week so far. Domino’s, golf and an afternoon out at All Ability Bikes.

An afternoon of nibbles in the garden. The weather has been a bit hit and miss, so when we get the opportunity to get outside we do. The sun was on our side and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon with great company, a sing song and some refreshments.

Getting out and about in the community. Residents enjoyed a morning stroll up the street, enjoying the beautiful gardens in Troon. Then out for a run and a coffee at Ayrshire Food Hub.
