Back in 2014, we were inspired by our friend David Mundell of Backstage at The Green, to put on some live music in Troon. The rest they say is history but the very first two gigs were Albert Lee and the amazing John Jorgenson. Jorgenson first played that year with his full band and the for a memorable return in October of the same year with The Webb Sisters.

We are delighted to confirm that the Grammy-winner John Jorgenson is reuniting with the amazing Webb Sisters for a rare return to Ayrshire and an acoustic night at The Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on Wednesday April 23rd 2025.

No stranger to UK audiences, Jorgenson has performed many times over the years with his Electric Band, Bluegrass Band and Gypsy Jazz Quintet, as well as with Elton John and The Hellecasters.

This time he is joined by long time friends Charley and Hattie Webb, fresh off their world tour with David Gilmour.

The Webb Sisters have toured and recorded with Leonard Cohen, Sting and Tom Petty, sharing with audiences their sublime sibling harmonies supported by extraordinary skills on harp, guitar, mandolin and percussion.

This special collaboration in an intimate acoustic format allows the special blend of voices and virtuosic musicianship to transport the listeners to places equally ethereal, mystical and fun.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear the unique sounds of lifelong friends making music together, just for the joy of it! The venue has a very limited capacity and this will undoubtedly sell out.

This is a fully seated venue.

Great news after what was a great day out

Well what an amazing day that was yesterday ! And just like that it's gone.

I would like to thank Destination South Ayrshire , South Ayrshire Council , Our Sponsors, Our volunteers, Our Patrons, Our Partners, The Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway Branch of RSPBA, All our competitor's and everyone who attended and supported the games, our traders and stall holders yesterday we couldn’t do it all without you !

And of course, a huge thank you to our amazing hardworking committee !

The car treasure hunt was the busiest it has ever been.

The walking treasure hunt was the busiest it had ever been.

The 10k entries 254 again busiest we can remember.

The pet show, you can guess ? Yes the busiest it’s ever been.

And Games day itself 14 pipe bands entered from near and far none of us can ever remember this many bands , the highland dancing entries 135 absolutely amazing !

As I said in my speech yesterday we already have plans afoot for next year to make the games bigger and better and I was shocked this morning by the time we surfaced that there have already been 2 enquires for stalls for 2024 already!
As I also said yesterday if anyone wants to join the committee or volunteer to help there are currently 10 of us but we are always looking for more members, just contact myself or one of the committee for a chat.

Thank you All !

This is said to be a map of the streets of Kilmarnock as would have been known to Burns. King Street was opened up later, in 1804.
