I can not thank all my clients who were booked in this week enough for your understanding. Especially my client who was half way through a massage and ended up taking me to the dentist! 🤦🏻‍♀️🦷 As you all know it takes a lot for me to be off work. Good news, I am getting the wisdom tooth taken out on Saturday 🙏

The end of Season 24/25 and also my time at St Mirren FC.

I have had the best time over the last 2 and a half years and gained the most amazing experience I am forever grateful for. I’ve made friends for life and of course met the love of my life ❤️

Can I please encourage everyone to use cash. Not just with me, but when supporting any small business.

With the rising cost of absolutely everything, I am really trying not to increase my prices. So I am looking to see where I can save spending. Card transactions is my biggest outlay other than my rent! Last year I spent over £2000 on bank charges. As well as charges, money can take up to 5 business days to hit my bank account, if that’s over a weekend it will be up to a week. This can cause cash flow issues.

I am as guilty as anyone nipping out without my purse and tapping my phone. However, when I am buying from an independent shop or craft stall I always make sure I have cash. The smaller the business the harder bank charges can hit.

Because of the reasons above my card machine will be retiring and I will now only be accepting cash or bank transfers. I’m so sorry for any inconvenience however, I can not justify the outlay.

Next weekend marks 15 years of my wee business - I don’t feel old enough to have ran a business for 15 years!!

I have decided to throw a wee party next Sunday the 2nd of March to celebrate the occasion and thank you all so would love you to join me for some drinks and nibbles 😊

Lisa will be there to meet everyone and will have some great offers on 💅

I am so so lucky to have all of you. I don’t feel like I have a clientele I feel like a have a bunch of pals I get to catch up with every 2/3/4 weeks while earning a living. You have all been there though pretty much everything in my adult life and for that I am so grateful ❤️

✨ Exciting News ✨

As many of you know, my very good friend Lisa (Hendo) has been in the salon starting her new career in nails. Lisa is doing amazingly well and her clientele I is growing. I am so so proud of her! It is also going to be amazing for us both during any time I take off and while I’m away with the football.

There has been some problems with my business phone which Hollie has so admin duties have not been transfered to her yet but she will be helping out in the coming months, especially coming up to the end of the football season when things get a little bit more hectic and also pre season.

It’s so lovely I have two of my best friends by my side as I approach my 15 year anniversary of Isla Thomson Beauty/Therapies! ❤️

🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄

I can’t quite believe another year has passed and I’m writing my 2024 Christmas Eve post.

2024 been the most incredible year both in my personal life and professionally. 2023 brought me my dream job. 2024 has brought me my man ❤️ and the highlight of my career to date.

July and August especially were absolutely mental while St Mirren were competing in the Europa Conference League. It was the most incredible experience, with memories that will last a lifetime, however it was pretty stressful trying to organise my diary. I can not thank you all enough for your endless patience and understanding and supporting me during that time❤️

My business is still going from strength to strength and that is all because of you guys, my amazing clients. Like I’ve said above, your patience and understanding as I organise my diary along with the football is massively appreciated ❤️ I wouldn’t have a business and earn a living if it wasn’t for all of you so thank you so so much. As I have said so many times I am and will always be forever grateful 🙏

I am having the most chilled week off and even got myself some pampering! 💅

This is my very special friend Lisa aka Hendo. Lisa has recently finished her nail qualification and has began building her client list. She kindly did my nails for me on Wednesday and I absolutely love them. I completely trust Lisa’s ability with my own nails and any of my clients ❤️

Lisa will be working from the salon the days I am not there. My diary is just about full untill Christmas so if you would like booked in for Christmas nails get in touch and we can sort an appointment with

I am finishing work this evening and will be off till next Monday the 18th of November. So grateful for 5 mental months filled with the best experiences but super excited to chill at home with my dogs this week and catch up with friends and family I’ve been trying to see since before the summer 😍 (and longer 🤣)
