| Footsteps |
At the Community Mediumship Service the other night I read some of the lyrics from this song and spoke about the meaning; this song really gives the message that we truly are supported from those in the Unseen.
Just a reminder that the song was 'Footsteps' by Lisa Stansfield from her 1997 album 'Lisa Stansfield'. I believe this song was inspired by the poem 'Footsteps in the Sand' about a person's frustration with God with some dispute over who originally wrote this.
"Don't give up, you're not alone
Though you're weak and chilled to the bone
I will share the pain that you're going through
If there's one set of footsteps, I'll be carrying you
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
If you're losing faith, I'll understand
Don't be afraid, I'm holding your hand
If you trust in me, then I will be true
If there's one set of footsteps, I'll be carrying you
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
Then I'm gonna walk on, walk on
I'm gonna walk on 'til the hurt is gone
Walk on, walk on
I'm gonna keep going, gonna carry on
Walk on, walk on
I'm gonna walk on, I'm gonna walk on
Ooh, I walk on, I walk on
Ooh, ooh, oh
Don't give up, you're not alone
Gotta try to be strong, you've got to move on
Just hold on tight and you'll make it through
If there's one set of footsteps, I'll be carrying you
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
If there's one
One set of footsteps in the sand
One set of footsteps
Walk on, walk on
I'll walk on
Walk on, walk on
Ooh, I'll walk on
Walk on, walk on
I'll walk on, I'll walk on
Walk on, walk on
'Til the hurt is gone
Walk on, walk on
Ooh
Walk on, walk on
I'll be carrying you
Walk on, walk on
I'm gonna walk on, oh
Walk on, walk on
I'm gonna walk on, I'm gonna walk on
'Til it's gone"
