A total of 4 very longs days of hard work from team Bailie Troon shop front is now complete👣

There was a lot of wood work to be fixed, cracks to be filled, pillers to be screwed into place, windows to be sealed and a complete change of colour scheme it’s now finished.

For a 150 year old shop on one of the windiest streets in Troon combined with Scottish weather let’s see how long our hard work lasts!

Will anyone notice? Who knows. But, standing on ladders really does make your feet sore. So, at least we of all people know how to fix them! 🦶

Everyone is working hard fixing up the shop front and applying primer coat in Troon.

Don’t forget to phone for an appointment as 🎃 & 🎅🏼 season is already filling up!

This weekend we have started to refit some old wood for the shop front in Troon. With the unpredictable weather in Scotland it’s definitely proving to be a job that will take longer than anticipated.

Do we change up the shop front colour? Or, go with our over 20 year tradition of cream and magnolia? Hot pink perhaps to brighten up Troon for the winter? 💓

Lights, camera, action! 📣🎬

Filming for a feature film will take place at Troon South Beach Esplanade on Tuesday 17 September.

The section of esplanade between Dallas Road and St Meddans Street will have restricted access from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Access to the beach will be available throughout the day, however, members of the public are asked to avoid the fenced off area whilst filming is taking place. The South Beach Car Park will remain open as normal.

Greek Toe: When the second toe is longer than the big toe.

Venus de Milo has it, Leonardo de Vinci’s Vitruvian man has it, Michelangelo's David has it.

Are you one of the 15–20 percent of the population to have it; a Greek toe, or foot, medically known as Morton’s toe?

If so, in ancient Greece, you would have been considered creative, have great leadership qualities and be the life and soul of the party.

Ancient Greeks, rather than following the boring rule of proportion, as the Egyptians, centuries before them did, went with the "Golden Ratio", or " Divine Proportion", the root of sacred geometry.

Examples of the "Golden Ratio", were to be found everywhere in ancient Greece; in art, sculpture, architecture and yes, even in toes!
