Lower back pain through pregnancy is incredibly common. The does not mean that you have to live with pain as you body changes to accommodate your growing baby. Addressing the tension in your joints and muscles allows your body to adjust and therefore the pain reduces.

With only a few days left of July, I'm looking ahead to August, and the Lemaria Osteopathy diary is open for you to secure your appointment with me. I am available through out the summer holiday so should you need help I will be around.
With school holidays, travel plans, and a bank holiday, we understand it might not be as easy as other months to fit your appointment in, this is why now is the best time to take a look at your diary and plan ahead.

What do you think of if you were told that you need to move more? Running, swimming, martial arts, HIIT? All of those are amazing, and are great at getting you moving. Modern life has us more sedentary than ever, whether it is working gin an office, sitting at a computer all day (no old fashioned filing or photocopying to do any more!), commuting or working from home. We move far less than previous decades. We have washing machines, robotic vacuum cleaners, no filing or walking documents from one place to another, so we have to find other ways of moving.

Moving helps prevent pain, improves joint mobility, boosts endorphins (happy hormones), improves blood flow. Doing some simple knee bends, or raising on to your toes while making tea, try doing some lunges while putting the washing on.

Welcome to Lemaria Osteopathy, the home of a friendly practice designed for your whole family. Over the last 14 years I have been working with people of all ages from newborns to the elderly. Having treated a patient throughout her pregnancy it was my privilege to treat her daughter at 2 days old after a very fast birth. So when the question comes up as to what age is suitable for treatment, honestly I treat all ages. So from the newest of life to the more sturdy in life, some of my time was spent with the men from the local rugby club, repairing the damage caused by a Saturday afternoon on the pitch.

Osteopathy can help alleviate a host of complaints from top to toe, so if you are unsure of how I may be able to help, do get in touch.
