Today we went for another walk to the primrose nature reserve to see if the birds had eaten the food we left on Monday. Almost all of it had gone! So we left some more for them. We also collected leaves and sticks for our autumn activities next week.

This week we have been learning all about ourselves, we looked at the houses we live in and what we look like. We also talked about who are friends are and what make them special to us. The children made different houses based on the 3 little pigs books and even tried to blow them down! Safe to say the brick house held the best. We also explored a friendship potions making tuff tray. We discussed what makes a good friend while pouring the ingredients together.

This week at Nursery the children have been learning about fire fighters. The children had the opportunity to put out their own fire/flame using spray bottles. This is great for developing fine motor skills and building strength in fingers. Also at song time we learnt a new Fire fighter song where the children were able to dress up as a fire fighter during the song.

WE ARE HIRING

We are still looking for a passionate and enthusiastic full time baby room lead for our Trowbridge nursery. If you would like the opportunity to build and grow a brand new baby room get in touch or send your CV to bumpers_nursery@outlook.com.

We also have various level 3/2 practitioner roles across both Trowbridge and Melksham available from September due to our expanding nurseries.

Other roles include 2 x lunch time assistants in our Melksham nursery, 4 hours per day (11to 3) to cover staff lunch breaks and to support children with their lunch routine. One role is available immediately 2nd one will be available September. Qualification or experience in childcare would be preferred.

Nursery room and baby room all helped make some pizza twists as well as other delicious foods this week.
Baking offers many opportunities for children to work on their motor skills. Pouring liquids requires careful hand and eye coordination and kneading dough strengthens muscles. Whipping, creaming and rubbing in all use different movements and muscle groups. A baking session makes an excellent work out!

The last two weeks in Bumpers Trowbridge pre school we have been doing all about Space. 👩‍🚀⭐️💥☄️

The children have had an absolute blast.
We have been making, aliens and planets out of playdough. Drawing rockets and some of the drawings have been out of this world! 🌎

We even made a spaceship and went to all the different planets, where we saw rainbow coloured aliens with 1000 eyes!!. We also did a space themed yoga to help us all relax. 💆‍♀️
