Wow what a fun two weeks back at nursery celebrating Bumpers1st birthday. We have made cakes using different resources and some we could eat. Spider man came to visit and brought us a beautiful cake to share. We made and decorated our own balloons and played lots of party games.

To celebrate, all our brilliant staff have been celebrating with a birthday week of fun activities! 🎈
.. and a very special guest dusted off his suit to visit everyone today with a delicious treat! 🎂

We are so proud of how far its grown this past year, to all who are a part of the journey, we cant thank you all enough!

Huge well done and a massive THANK YOU to Louis & CJ on completeting their challenge! 👏🏻

Running a 5k on the hour, every hour for 24 hours! 🙌

They have raised over a £1000 in donations towards a new floor for our baby room in Canberra. We honestly cant thank you both enough!

We are very excited to be celebrating our first Birthday here at Bumpers Nursery! It has been a wonderful year of growth, learning, and laughter, and we are so grateful to all of you for being part of our journey.
As part of our celebrations, one of our nursery parents has kindly taken the lead in organising a fundraiser to help us replace the floor in our Baby Room. This improvement will make a big difference to our youngest children’s comfort and safety, and we would love your support in reaching this goal.

Today we took a journey to the north pole. We got our gold tickets stamped, jumped into the polar express and watched the northern lights twinkle. We danced and sang and even had a yummy hot chocolate treat. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and new year.

At Bumpers, we value the opportunity to learn about each child's unique traditions and cultural backgrounds. During December, we have celebrated various Christmas traditions from around the world, including Sankta Lucia, a Swedish celebration. The children participated in candle-lit caroling and created their own gingerbread. Additionally, we embraced the community tradition of caroling around the nursery, a practice commonly observed in the Philippines.

What a wonderful Stay and play we all had at nursery yesterday. Thankyou to all those who came, we hope you enjoyed it too.
Having parents come in to play builds a positive, collaborative, and supportive learning environment. Children benefit emotionally, socially, and academically when the adults in their lives are engaged and connected.

At Nursery, we've been focusing on the importance of brushing our teeth. The children brought their own toothbrushes and toothpaste, and they used mirrors to see their teeth and practice brushing. Each child brushed their teeth independently, while an adult sang a fun teeth-brushing song to keep them engaged. This activity is crucial for teaching children about dental hygiene and fostering independence in their self-care routines. We'll continue this activity throughout the week to support their learning and development.
