Last week, the Otter Homecare team swapped their usual gear for denim to support Denim 4 Dementia.

We had six members of the team taking part — in the office and out on care calls — and we’ve now donated £52.50 to Beyond Dementia Wiltshire.

It’s a charity that means a lot to us. Many of the people we support live with dementia, and we see every day how it affects families. Beyond Dementia does brilliant work across Wiltshire and we are happy to play a small role in supporting them. Find out more: www.beyonddementia.org.uk

💙 We’re Going Denim for Dementia!
This Friday, Otter Homecare is proud to support Denim for Dementia in aid of Beyond Dementia Wiltshire.
We’re encouraging all of our care professionals and office team to wear some denim for the day to show support for people living with dementia in our community.
👖 For every member of staff wearing denim, Otter Homecare will donate £5
👖 We’ll also top it up for any of our clients who join in and wear denim too!
If you’re one of our clients — or a family member reading this — we’d love you to take part. Just pop on something denim and let your care team know.
Clients and families are also welcome to donate directly to Beyond Dementia if they wish.

It's Random Acts of Kindness Week, and honestly, we see kindness in action every single day 💙

Our Care Professionals do the small things that make a real difference — remembering how someone takes their tea, stopping for a proper chat when they can tell someone needs it, or noticing something's not quite right before anyone else does.

Kindness isn't just something we talk about at Otter Homecare. It's part of everything we do and one of our 5 values.

Christmas came early at our latest Otter Café at Staverton Village Hall 🎶🎄

Guests arrived to festive carols from a cornet player and spent the afternoon enjoying good company, seasonal treats, and Christmas ornament decorating. A lovely afternoon full of smiles, creativity, and festive spirit.

Earlier this month we had our annual Quality Assessment Framework review from Wiltshire Council. We are pleased to share that the inspection went very well, and Otter Homecare received a 0 score, meaning no risks or actions were identified.

The review looked at four areas:
• Person centred care
• Staff knowledge and recruitment
• Leadership and safety
• Observations and feedback

A big thank you to our wonderful Otter team for everything they do each day, and to our clients and families for the trust they place in us. We’re always working towards providing the kind of support we’d want for our own loved ones.
