Meet Katie Campbell.....

Katie is a Sports Therapist, having graduated with a First-Class Honours degree from The University of Bath. She takes pride in working with each client, helping to fulfil their goals and keeping them at the centre of each treatment. Katie has had several years of experience in treating a range of sporting injuries, offering pitch-side assistance and event support for a variety of sports in and around Wiltshire, including Chippenham, Westbury and Bath. Treating and supporting GB athletes and premier rugby players has been very rewarding, whether the aim has been to get through the last game of the season or training towards the pinnacle of their career.

Through her time in private practice, Katie developed an interest in chronic pain, this led to the completion of a post graduate certificate in Strength and Conditioning, with the University of Gloucestershire. Consequently, allowing a greater depth of understanding the implications of different movements and the benefit of optimal movement. Katie particularly enjoys assessing and improving movement patterns to benefit the client, which has been seen to reduce chronic pain and irritability to the tissues. Enhanced Movement was born through the belief that the body was designed to move in certain ways; primal movement is of interest with basic movement principles. She has a particular interest in treating Tri-athletes, swimmers and strong wo/man competitors, breaking down the movement biomechanics can increase skill, strength and performance. Circuit groups and one to one rehabilitation sessions are available at various times in the Trowbridge clinic, please contact us for enquires regarding current courses.

In order to keep up with current trends and studies Katie designs and lectures on courses in Swindon for Core Elements, sharing her passion for the human body with other like-minded therapists, this led to a published article in the Federation of Holistic Therapist magazine. Continual research is essential in this profession allowing Katie to gain certificates in gait analysis, advanced stretching, dry cupping and needling. As a past sufferer of migraines and chronic back pain, this is also an area of interest, Katie also offers craniosacral therapy which has been of benefit to clients who prefer a gentler approach to treatment for back pain and headaches. Utilising a number of tools Katie offers complete client autonomy and works in such a way that is personal to that individual, from injury to full functional fitness, lifestyle and occupation.
