Our groups are not only making storytelling quilt squares! Arts Together groups meet in Marlborough, Pewsey, Devizes, Melksham, Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge. Between them, the six groups have 36 art projects per year!

In Melksham, sculptor Sam Perry has introduced the group to Frida Kahlo inspired Nichos. Mexican nichos, sometimes called vitrinas or retablos, or known as Mexican shadowboxes, are three-dimensional art forms displaying a scene

Frida Kahlo's imagery and life are often incorporated into nichos, reflecting her popularity and influence in Mexican culture. Watch this space to find out how our group members translate their design ideas into this vibrant folk art form.

Keeping your home warm in the winter can be expensive. The fuel poverty charity NEA (https://www.nea.org.uk/member-of-the-public/) estimates that around 4 million UK households are unable to afford sufficient heating, and in January 2023 it reported that there were around 4000 excess deaths during the winter months.

If you are an older person, are on a low income or receive certain benefits, you may be eligible for financial support with your heating bills.

For elderly people, a warm home in the winter is essential to health but can be expensive. Here is some of the financial support you could claim to help with heating bills.

Trowbridge Home Care Services

Carewatch Trowbridge provides home care services to the communities in Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Melksham, Chippenham, Devizes, Corsham and surrounding villages.

Our Trowbridge home care workers support adults and the elderly with a wide range of conditions to remain within the comfort of their own home. Our staff are highly trained, compassionate people who like to make a real difference in the lives of those we support.

Our care workers

Our Wiltshire carers make a real difference in the lives of our customers, they have the same care workers visit them at the same time each visit; continuity of care is very important in the service we provide. Our care worker team is made up of people of all ages, although our care team is predominately women, we do have a small team of male carers.
