The Cornwall Mobility Centre Ltd. is a Charitable Company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 27th March 2003 and registered as a charity on 27th March 2003.

We provide services & support to people of all ages in the South West who face independence and mobility challenges.Our centre includes a showroom, for independent living and mobility equipment, and extensive workshop facilities - free parking on site! The charity took over all the assets and liabilities of Cornwall Mobility Centre (registered charity) on 31st March 2003.

🌟 VEHICLE ADAPTATIONS 🌟

Did you know we assess for and fit vehicle adaptations at our Truro Centre ?

There are many vehicle adaptations available now that allow you to stay behind the wheel, even if you have no use of your legs and severely limited use of your arms.

Our Adaptations Specialist, Tim, based at our Truro Centre, fits adaptations to vehicles in line with recommendations from assessments.

There is a wide range of adaptations available from various manufacturers and we prefer to assess the most suitable type for the client’s individual requirements. If you have previously had an assessment with the Centre and simply wish to transfer any existing adaptation(s) to an alternative vehicle, there is usually no requirement to have another assessment, provided your personal circumstance have not changed.

We do encourage all clients who require their vehicle to be adapted to have an assessment with our trained Approved Driving Instructors and Clinicians.

A big Cornwall Mobility ‘Happy Birthday’ to Amanda 🎉

Amanda is one of our longest serving members of staff and is an Approved Driving Instructor based in Truro.

Many of you will have met Amanda whilst having your driving assessment, driving tuition, been a medical student whilst she’s given a talk or attended a posture and seating training session that she runs with our Joint Lead Clinician, Hayley.

A serious threat to health and safety, such as a gas leak or dangerous electrical fault
Major damage to the structure of the building
Total prolonged loss of essential service, such as gas, water or electricity that results in a serious impact to immediate health or safety of house occupants

Waste collections and street cleaning - 0300 1234 141

Only report issues with the potential to cause harm or injury

Our mission is To provide solutions, services, support and reassurance to people of all ages in the South West who face independence and mobility challenges.

We offer a range of services: advice and assessment for drivers and passengers, their carers and families, fully equipped vehicle adaptation and mobility equipment repair workshops, and a large independent living equipment showroom which includes equipment for adults and children along with free mobility equipment advice and assessment.
