SECONDS!! Sometimes we make something and it’s not the way we want it to be; and we waste nothing here. So, we keep all the bits, and when we’ve got enough we make up a load of Seconds Burners. They work the same and a lot of the defects are so small you’d hardly notice them. We’ve just added a load to the site, under ‘seconds and accessories.’ When they’re gone, they’re gone. 💨 NB- all seconds come with a flask and candle & 10ml pack.

BYRON 🌊 this has been literally FLYING out over the past two weeks, so I’m guessing you guys are into Summer mode!? 🏖️ This is the smell of suncream and coconut, warm sand and salty skin. It is, quite literally, summer in a bottle 🫶 Available in room spray, candle, hand wash and hand balm as well as our signature diffuser oil.

We had an absolute cracker of a day yesterday Alternative Market. It was our first market?! I kept asking myself why haven’t I done much of this…. And then I remembered how we began during lockdown 1, and then it didn’t seem so strange that our focus has been e-commerce 😆 it was lovely to meet so many of you, have testers out, and chat about this big passion of mine and actually explain everything 🥰 it might have been the first but it’s not gonna be the last! Big props to for pulling together the loveliest bunch of folks including and who we strongly recommend you check out 🫶🩶

Introducing our Atlantic Highway room spray collab with - Cardamom, Amber & To***co Flower 🖤

Along the Atlantic Highway in North Cornwall, past the sweeping views of undulating hills dotted with windmills, roaming sheep and the distant shimmer of the sea, is Strong Adolfo’s Cafe.

We first visited in 2019, whilst visiting Cornwall. We didn’t live here then, and were fresh off the back of a couple of months out in New Zealand. Our heads were full of adventure, Kiwi cafe culture, and we’d got used to great coffee. We were planning a big move away, a different life.

Nat was one of the first people we connected with in Cornwall. Covered in interesting tattoos, with the broadest smile you’ve ever seen, Nat is Strong Adolfo’s’ resident gentle giant. He makes great flat whites and he gives big hugs, and on subsequent visits (as we realised the new life we were after might just be right here) he would remember our names and our order. Community sometimes thrives in individual people and small gestures, and that’s what Nat gave us during those tentative few months.

Once we’d moved, we visited weekly with our Twins. They’d have a big stack of pancakes and eyeball the motorbike that rested near the counter. We’d admire the view through their huge glass windows, which made it feel like summer even in the middle of winter, and plan our future together. John and Tilde, the owners of this gorgeous spot, are big art fans - there has always been a strong artistic presence in the cafe for as long as I can remember. I met my friend after seeing her work exhibited on their walls, and reaching out to ask her if she wanted some photos.

Little things to delight and comfort 🌹 It’s just once a year that we think about those in our lives whose mother heart enriches our existence 🩶 I know for me it’s not just my mum, grandmother etc but actually my FRIENDS- who are always there for me no matter what. So this Mother’s Day why not gift them a little ‘me time’ with our Apothecary & Wellness range 🫶

Creating the Halwyn candle with .wongwichien and our two families. We have just a handful of these gorgeous joint artworks left; made from wild foraged clay and a glaze made from Blackthorn ash fired in Shayla’s studio wood burner, Cornish stone, quartz and rain water.

The candles have been completed by Abel Burners using natural vegetable wax and delicately scented with deep, earthy wood sage and fresh sea salt; inspired by Halwyn and Shayla’s summerhouse studio views.

The vessels are liquid safe and designed to be washed out and re-used, either for your own candle projects, as a trinket pot or even an espresso/tea cup!

Each candle is totally unique, and is completely hand made from start to finish by Shayla and Abel Burners right here in Cornwall, and feature our dual stamps on the base.
