Our intensive therapy blocks are designed to combine activities of interest with a change of environment to keep children happy, motivated and engaged throughout their sessions.

At this private pool, we are able to:
✨ Create and use custom casts in the water
✨ Combine physiotherapy with hydrotherapy
✨ Integrate upper limb occupational therapy into fun, play-based activities

Every session is tailored to the child, blending therapy with enjoyment to achieve meaningful progress.

Our intensive programmes are designed for children with neurodevelopmental needs, providing focused, evidence-based therapy to support meaningful progress in a short timeframe.

We now have capacity for more blocks of therapy in CORNWALL for 2025!

We offer intensive therapy for handwriting, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory needs, behavioural support at school or home, post-Botox, Constraint Induced Movement Therapy and Bimanual Therapy.

The dosage & protocol of these blocks will vary with each child, depending on their individual need following assessment.

We’ve been busy over the summer seeing some wonderful babies, toddlers, children and young adults. All of whom have worked incredibly hard to reach their personal goals during therapy. Our one-off sessions and intensive therapy blocks over the past few months have included:

We love neuroplasticity!! A high number of reps over a short period of time vastly improves motor learning. It isn’t uncommon for all of your goals to be met within three or four weeks of intensive daily therapy!

At South West Therapy, we follow the Intensive Model of Therapy (IMOT), a therapeutic approach to treating neurological disorders.
We devise bespoke programmes for each client which may vary in intensity, duration and intervention tools used, based on their individual needs.

Need a fast-track OT and/or Physiotherapy assessment & report for your child’s EHCP application? We can help ☑️

An Education, Health and Care plan (EHC plan) is a legal document which describes a child or young person’s educational, health and care needs.

An OT and/or Physio report can contribute to all three of these areas and is completely clinically independent.

We will complete a detailed assessment about the child’s OT needs at school and home. We will highlight the extra help that will be necessary to your child to meet those needs and also how that help will support the child or young person to achieve what she/he would like to do in their life.

Our EHCP package includes the following:

-Meeting with the school and parents/caregivers
-Session with the child/young person to discuss views, interests, personal aspirations and priority occupations -Detailed activity/occupational performance analysis
-Clinical observations
-Standardised assessments as necessary (e.g., Sensory Profile, COPM, PEGS, DASH etc.)
-Goal setting
-Specialist recommendations
-Detailed report in Local Authority EHCP format

We’re now taking bookings for one-off assessments and intensive therapy blocks for 2024.

We aim to see everyone for an initial assessment within ⭐️ TWO WEEKS ⭐️ of referral.

There is currently a two month waiting list for intensive therapy blocks.
