📚👩‍🏫

Due to high demand, my in-person home-ed groups now focus exclusively on GCSE maths! If you’re aged 12–18 and planning to take GCSE maths within the next 2–3 years, these groups are perfect for you.

My first group is nearly full, but I’ve created a waiting list and will start a second GCSE group if there’s enough interest.

Success in Simplicity

When we think of success, it often looks like more; more doing, more stuff, more schedules.

But what if true wellbeing, for us and our children, lives in less?

There’s a quiet kind of joy in simplicity:

Unstructured mornings
Picnics in the garden
Walks without a destination
A day without a plan

🌿 As July winds down, take a moment to strip back the noise.

Model what spaciousness feels like. Let your children see that life doesn’t always have to be fast, loud, or full.

✨ There’s deep wonder in the ordinary, if we slow down enough to notice it.

The sun is out…

The days are longer—and there’s a real invitation to slow down and reconnect.

But let’s be honest: with the heat rising, so can irritability, tension, and fatigue.
If you’re feeling a little snappy, drained or just off, you’re not alone.

Be gentle with yourself.

🌿 This season, wellbeing doesn’t have to be big or perfect. It’s about creating small pauses:

•A mindful moment in the garden
•A walk before the heat peaks
•Saying no when your energy says not today

💛 A few gentle reminders:

•Hydrate more than you think you need
•SPF is your daily non-negotiable
•Move your body, rest your mind
•Let the sunshine lift you—but don’t pressure yourself to feel ‘summery’ all the time

Give yourself permission to ebb and flow with the season. You’re doing better than you think.

““You don’t have to ignore or minimize what you feel to be strong.”
— Dr. Thema Bryant

So many of us are taught to “keep it together,” to push down feelings, or to carry on without pause. But true strength isn’t about pretending you’re fine — it’s about allowing space for what’s real.

Acknowledging your emotions doesn’t make you weak — it makes you human.
It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. It’s okay to take a breath, to pause, to ask for help.

Healing doesn’t come from ignoring our pain — it comes from being present with it, and gently working through it.

You can feel and still move forward.
You can soften and still be strong.
You are allowed to honour your experience. 💛

Taking Time for You 🌿

Self-care isn’t just a luxury — it’s a vital part of supporting your mental and emotional well-being. A warm bath can be one way to slow down, soothe the body, and reconnect with yourself. But self-care is personal, and it looks different for everyone.

Maybe it’s a quiet walk, journaling your thoughts, setting healthy boundaries, or having an honest chat with a therapist — whatever helps you feel grounded and cared for matters. 💙

✨ How are you making space for self-care this week?
