St Piran’s Day is one of our favourite celebrations at St George’s! On 5th March, Truro came alive with a parade to celebrate all things Cornish 〓〓

For our residents, it was the perfect excuse to enjoy freshly baked saffron buns, warm scones, fruity jam, and thick clotted cream. A joyful celebration of local culture, food, and community spirit! 💛

Welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse! 🧧🐎

This week, our residents and guests enjoyed a fantastic Chinese New Year celebration, sharing treats like Chicken Chop Suey, Crispy Beef, Egg Fried Rice, and Pancake Rolls. It was a joyful gathering of good food and warm laughter to mark the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse.

St George's Residential Care Home staff do a great job of bringing special cultural celebrations to life. We're looking forward to many more throughout the year! 🎉

An afternoon in unusual company! 🐍🐌🦎

Our guests had a brilliant time meeting a snake, giant snail, and stick insect when a mobile zoo came to visit – learning fascinating facts about their habitats, behaviour, diets, and care.

We loved connecting with nature and can’t wait for our next wild encounter!
