🤗 Kindness in every moment at ICH 🤗

🫴 Kindness doesn’t need to be a grand gesture to be meaningful, and at In Caring Hands (ICH), we know it’s the little things that often mean the most to those we care for.

🍵 During Random Acts of Kindness Week, which runs from the 12th to the 18th of February, our carers aim to focus even more on the small things that mean so much — giving a warm cup of tea, a shared laugh, a moment of reassurance, or simply being there when someone needs company.

🫴 World Cancer Day: ICH standing beside you 🫴

💪 The 4th of February is World Cancer Day, and here at In Caring Hands (ICH), we stand with everyone affected by cancer.

🏡 At ICH, our team of community carers provides support with the day-to-day needs of older people who want to stay in the comfort of their own homes. This includes helping them face the emotional challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, while undergoing treatment and during recovery.

🦢 Finding Joy in the Everyday: Big Garden Birdwatch 🦢

🐦 The Big Garden Birdwatch organised by the RSPB runs from the 26th to the 28th of January this year. To some it is more than just a nature event — it’s a moment of connection. For many older people, watching birds brings comfort, routine, and a sense of companionship.

🍵 Here at In Caring Hands in St Austell, Cornwall, we care of older people in the comfort of their own homes. Our carers often enjoy special moments alongside the people we support. Together they enjoy looking for particular species of birds, noticing feather colours, listening to birdsong, or simply sharing a peaceful pause in the day accompanied by a warming cup of tea or coffee.

🎄 Christmas jumper joy & togetherness at ich! 🎄

👦 The 11th of December is Christmas Jumper Day, a great fundraising initiative.

🫴 But Christmas jumpers aren’t just for helping children, at In Caring Hands (ICH) in Cornwall, where we care for older people in the comfort of their own home, this day is a chance for older people and their carers to share laughter, warmth, and festive cheer.
