General Practice Recruitment Fair - 4th June 2025

Looking for a role in general practice or a discussion about your next career adventure?

This is your opportunity to meet representatives from GP practices, Primary Care Networks, Kernow Health CIC, and businesses who will be on hand to talk to you about a range of genuine opportunities in the South West.

There will also be a range of workshops to inspire and support GPs, ST2s and ST3s, and Nurses who require support and career development.

If you long to live and work just a few miles from the coast or in the countryside, have decided to drop your hours, have recently qualified, or want to work just a couple of days a week, this event is for you.

We have a broad range of different options and flexibility for those who wish to pursue a career in Cornwall. So, whether you choose to work for an individual practice or a host employer, we can help you with opportunities to co-design your new job.

For recently qualified GPs or others who would like additional support, we can explore mentoring, careers guidance/support, and continuing professional development.

The fair will also be running a range of workshops to inspire and support GPs, ST2s and ST3s, and Nurses who require support and career development.

In collaboration with the Tamar Faculty at RCGP we are running a bring baby CPD event, offering you the chance to bring your baby with you, receive CPD and network with other GP parents at the beautiful Bedruthan Hotel. It combines time with your baby and CPD sessions including managing your return to work, and menopause update. We'd like to issue a message of thanks and gratitude to all staff of Kernow Health CIC and the wider Health System, from our CEO, Jan Randall and Dr Paul Cook, our Chief Medical Officer.

It has been a tough weekend, we wanted to share openly with the public, the amazing work of the healthcare system here in Cornwall and specifically to our staff at Kernow Health CIC. Cornwall 111, the GP Out of Hours Services, and our visiting car services. As part of a wider integrated team across the hospitals, community services, and ambulance services, the services delivered, in the right place at the right time have been outstanding.

There has been exceptional effort by teams across health and care services over the weekend and below is a public thank you we, as a system, are sharing through our social media channels today.
