As the leaves turn and the air cools, it’s the perfect time to pause, reset, and align with the rhythm of the season. I’m delighted to invite you to a special 3-hour Autumn Yoga & Holistic Therapies Workshop designed to nurture body, mind, and spirit.

✨ What’s Included:

Welcome Ritual

Herbal tea to balance Vata dosha
Seasonal Ayurveda lifestyle tips with warm oil self massage
Intention setting for the retreat.

Grounding Yoga Practice + Ayurveda Head Massage

Yin Yoga to calm autumn energy alongside an Indian head massage for each participant.

Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra + Reiki Deep rest through guided restorative poses where the bolsters and blankets hold all of the muscular energy - a feeling of being completely held within restful yoga poses. Whilst you rest we will offer reiki healing and end with Yoga Nidra a deeply restorative practise of 'Yogic sleep'.

Closing Grounding Ritual setting intentions to take away alongside a gift bag with seasonal practises to continue at home.

This is your chance to slow down, restore, and reconnect before winter draws in. Spaces are limited, so please book early if you’d like to join us.

People often ask what kind of yoga do you do?
I never really know what to say - often lines such as 'time to tune in with your body', 'flowing yoga'... Comes out.

After listening to a podcast on Ayurveda (the 'medical' side of yoga) it helped me see what I would love you to feel after a class. I'm predominantly Kapha - earth sign and Vata- air sign but also have some Pitta -fire.
I'm grounded, strong in my legs, earthy and everyday in terms of themes.

I like flowing through rhythmic moves.

I value and honour Savasana, I ultimately want to bring comfort, warmth and steadiness to you.

There are definitely some spicier Pitta fire elements in class, you'll get a sweat on - the challenges, the core, the strength to move your way.
But...
the placing of the eye pillow with essential oil smells, the pressing down of the eyes (with both hands usually but I can't film the full experience!) the holding of the head and a wish of rest for you before maybe tucking you into your blanket. This fills me up ♥️

Nature took note of the Śrītha Sukhāsanam theme too!
We moved with steady breath, easing into asanas so they fit like a glove.

I'm all about bringing balance in an everyday, very real way. I'm a mum of two little ones, I have a good knowledge of yoga as a way to live life, the yoga philosophy, the beautiful yoga stories, the chords for the harmonium for mantras and it all comes into play in a real way with me. I need energy? Yoga nidra or a strengthening breath.
I need to ground? planks (honestly!) yin, mantra

Need to stop swirling - 4 breath in 8 breath out. I can't dip out of life and roll my mat out of do a lengthy mantra or meditation but what CAN I do?

Rest - it's something that I've been advocating in classes. Not lying down in savasana the whole way through or taking a softer variation of an asanas (although both are applauded as you are listening to yourself and moving in your own way).
This rest is the pause between inhale and exhale, the stop and stand in Tadasana, the movement that matches your breath, taking time to move with your eyes shut, burning off the mental energy of being tired with planks (honestly don't judge it can work!) five mins of exploring yogic three part breath and savasana and Yoga Nidra.

With the busy ness of life we can't always lie down and sleep - the traditional view of what rest is. So what can we do to feel rested, content, perhaps even ok with being tired.

For me, yoga nidra as much as possible. It really makes me feel stable, at times refreshed, other times stops the script of 'im tired, I'm tired ..'

Yoga provides so many tools to bring us to a balanced state, whether we walk in tired, energised and bouncy, stressed, sad, angry. Moving our bodies, breathing consciously and taking time to listen in to the mind can be the balance we need.
If we're ever in doubt look to the younger ones who have got this rest stuff nailed - I asked him "what are you doing?"

Bhakti yoga ❤️ Yoga of Devotion.
This path of yoga is defined as devoting every action to a higher power.
This weekend I was reminded to devote some time to myself. I planned the morning- walk to chapel, sea swim, coffee out. Perfecto for me.
It seems little one had other ideas! He has been waking a lot this week and when I woke I felt floored. I took a good few breaths and decided against my plan.
The new devotion looked like this- outdoor shower with all the face and hair bits, spending time properly brushing my hair, doing some wriggly yoga moves with my favourite songs on and the lying down in the sun for a yoga nidra ❤️
I realised it doesn't matter what it is, if the intention is love (for myself in this instance) you can devote anything.
Beware though - you'll get all full up with love and see rainbows and sunshine everywhere, I saw a 'rainbow' in the reflection of the outdoor shower - turns out it's the reflection of the rainbow paddling pool 🤣 you see what you want to see hey!!
Come devote some time, energy, moves, wriggles to yourself or another this evening at 6pm and Friday at 9:30

Heads up, lovely yogis!
Classes are on next week as usual
Mondays at 6pm and Fridays at 9:30am, but will be paused the following week while I head off for some camping + nature time 🏕️🌲

Yoga is more than movement — it’s how we come together, breathe, reset, and hold space for ourselves and each other. I’m so grateful for our little community that shows up, week after week 💛

Let’s roll out the mats next week — I’d love to see you there before the break! ✨
