Measles can be serious, 1 in 5 children may need hospital care. Watch for symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore red eyes, followed by a blotchy rash starting on the face.

👉 If your child shows symptoms, keep them home and call your GP or NHS 111.
👉 Check their vaccinations. Two doses give about 99% protection.

These are the happy smiling faces of some of our school age immunisation team at Sidmouth College on the last week of school visits, having delivered a full and busy schedule of flu vaccinations. This year we have immunised 116,811 children against the flu virus in Cornwall and Devon. Thank you to all the schools who have welcomed us this term. One less thing to remember! We visit schools throughout the year to deliver the routine school age immunisation programme. You will need to give consent before your child receives their vaccinations. 🌟 A Huge Thank You to Our local Immunisation Team! 🌟

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Winnie and Kerry from the Kernow Health Immunisation Team for visiting us yesterday and seeing most of our children. They shared such lovely feedback — they were truly impressed by how many parents took the opportunity to sign up for the nasal flu spray, and how wonderfully the children naturally supported one another with reassurance. 💚

Winnie and Kerry also wanted to remind everyone that there are more flu vaccine drop-in clinics available across our local areas — Launceston, Callington, Camelford, and Bude.
