Huge cold snap about to hit our climate and bodies.

Be proactive and less reactive...those protocols are in place for reason.

Realise that with winter....everything slows and stores....so don't expect the the same levels of output in the warmer months.

Interesting cross section of clients presenting with mechanical restrictions, fortunately with minimal damage from injury/accidents! Best result we can hope for.

However the seasonal climate change, combined with illnesses about.....is challenging the majority of people.

So important that self-care is disciplined especially in harder times. Passive, active and dynamic mobility can be fitted into any schedule. The trick is perspective, discipline and a sprinkling of knowledge.

Alot of lower limb issues and injuries.....so its vital to listen to your body. Being abit more proactive after an intense match or session....can mean the different between a minor ni**le to major injury.

So whether its your usual weekend walk, or game, or obstacle course.....make sure the basics happen.

Goodluck to all our clients taking this event over the weekend. We have some availability for emergencies, and the clinic is just 1mile away. So if the weather turns, at least you can be warm and dry.

Make sure to manage your recovery and we will be about in the afternoons, once clinic schedule is complete.

Working the troops...especially as heat is coming in. Make sure you look after your 4legged minions.....always check feet and joints afterwards. Manipulation and release work is so easy to do on them.....so spend the time to check them out.

Well spring is definitely.....apologies for the radio silence..

Some of you may know that the main clinic has moved. The reason being, that we had been involved in two separate RTAs whilst commuting on our beloved hondas, in December and March

So common sense and with more traffic due, our own safety and longevity is paramount.

That aside, the injuries could have been alot worse.

I actually learnt alot more about my own body and its ability to heal. Which has been surprisingly better than when I had my leg rebuild from semi pro rugby days. Even hit some Pbs recently.....

So this really highlights, with good processes, knowledge and goals, we can all achieve things....regardless of what life throws at you.

Simply put, whether your recovering, healing or growing into something new. Treat it like algebra.....a simple equation, which we have to find what factors are most importsnt for each individual client

So, look after yourselves and any registered clients.....please make sure your recommendations, mention your name on their first appt. Theres a great spring offer at the moment.

Yes! Some lovely sunshine......followed by the sequel of "beast from the east".

So make sure you wrap up warm and be more aware of the unstable ground.

Recent competitions and events have shown more injuries/damage from the damp/wet/muddy/icey conditions. So dont fall into that trap.

With the cold.....its good time to practise breathing. We focus so much on outputs such as training/mobility, or inputs such as nutrition/sleep. Never forget the processes....such as breathing. Every part of our body is vying for oxygen......for recovery, healing, growth and perfromance.
