'Don't fall this Fall' 🍂
Across the month we have been sharing a 6-step programme, that you can do at home, highlighting key exercises to help with balance and strength.

Last week we shared the 𝐇𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 exercise (be sure to check the comments for a guide) - this week it is 𝐓𝐨𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 🦶

Step 1 - Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart
Step 2 - Place your hand for support and lift your toes, taking the weight onto your heels, holding for 3-5 seconds.
Step 3 - Lower in a controlled manner.
Step 4 - Repeat up to 10 times.

'Don't fall this Fall' 🍂

Across the month we will be sharing a 6-step programme, that you can do at home, highlighting key exercises to help with balance and strength.

Last week we shared the 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 exercise (be sure to check the comments for a guide) - this week it is 𝐇𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠
1. Stand tall and with one foot in front of the other take 10 steps, slowly (use support if needed)
2. Turn around and repeat
BONUS - for a challenge, try walking backwards one foot in front of the other, taking 10 steps. Remember you can use support if required.

La Vern and her husband Michael spend 6 months in the UK and 6 months in Australia each year and although it may not be 'Fall' where they are, our 'Don't Fall this Fall' campaign is still in full swing.

Head Gardener, Bob hosted an afternoon with the Cornwall Professional Gardeners Group (CPGG) at Roseland Parc last week. The CPGG was started by the late Sir Richard Carew Pole, then president of the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society, to help foster the exchange of knowledge & friendship between the often isolated gardening teams across Cornwall. 🌸

We welcomed over 20 gardeners from famous gardens such as Trebah Garden , The Lost Gardens of Heligan , Lanhydrock National Trust , Lamorran, Trewithen and Cotehele - National Trust for a talk on the work Rob is undertaking restoring the historic gardens here and the challenges of working alongside development.

At Roseland Parc by Retirement Villages Head Gardener Bob is absolutely thrilled that for only the second time in his 8 years at RVG, the magnificent Magnolia x veitchii within the grounds has managed to dodge the frosts and is beginning a spectacular floral display!

As Bob puts it, it's "one of the horticultural highlights of the year here at Roseland Parc," and we couldn't agree more! 🌷🌺
