ShopMobility UK co-ordinates a network of local ShopMobility centres which hire mobility scooters an ShopMobility UK is a non profit membership company.

Its members are shopmobility schemes based throughout the UK. They help those with mobility issues access their local town facilities in particular their high streets and shopping centers. ShopMobility UK schemes help those with temporary and permanent mobility problems from a broken leg, to those living with Arthritis or Fibromyalgia. You do not need to be a blue badge holder to use the service or be registered disabled. ShopMobility UK has website where you can locate your nearest scheme member. We recommend where possible to use a member as they adhere to the strict British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) Code of Practice which is Authorised by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI).

As we celebrate February’s Centre of the Month, we’d like to thank everyone at ShopMobility Renfrewshire for the incredible work they do for their community. 💙

With a small team of staff supported by 65 dedicated volunteers, the centre delivers much more than mobility equipment. From advocacy and accessibility work to social inclusion events and ongoing support for members, their impact is felt across the whole community. 🌍

Supporting more than 650 members and welcoming around 100 hires each month, the team works tirelessly to ensure people across Renfrewshire can remain independent, active and connected.

We’d also like to recognise long-standing volunteer and board member Margaret Dymond, whose continued commitment to ShopMobility Renfrewshire reflects the strength and spirit of the wider network.

Supporting independence across Renfrewshire - ShopMobility Renfrewshire offers a wide range of services designed to support independence, accessibility and community connection across the local area. 🌍

Alongside daily equipment hire, the centre provides:
🛠️ Repairs and maintenance
🤝 Advocacy and support for members
🎨 Social inclusion events and activities
📋 Accessibility surveys across Renfrewshire
🗣️ Advice on equipment and insurance

Social inclusion is at the heart of their work. The team regularly organises events and activities — from nature reserve visits to planned crafting and jewellery sessions — helping members stay connected and engaged within their community 💬

We’re delighted to recognise ShopMobility Renfrewshire as our Centre of the Month for February. 💙

The centre is supported by a small team of three staff members and an incredible 65 volunteers, whose dedication and teamwork ensure that the service continues to support the local community every day. 🙌

With over 656 registered members and an average of around 100 hires each month, ShopMobility Renfrewshire plays a vital role in helping people remain active, independent and connected throughout the area.

Their work goes far beyond equipment hire — providing reassurance, advice, and a welcoming environment for everyone who uses the service.

We’re delighted to start the year by recognising ShopMobility York as our Centre of the Month for January 🎉

The centre is supported by three members of staff, all of whom also generously volunteer their time 🙌 — not only supporting day-to-day services, but also helping with fundraising and assisting one another when needed. Their commitment and teamwork are at the heart of everything the centre does. 💙

ShopMobility York is deeply rooted in its local community — and recently celebrated a proud milestone 🎉 Last month, with the support of dedicated volunteers 🙌, the centre was included for the first time in the York Minster Christmas Tree Festival 🎄 — a wonderful event featuring over 70 beautifully decorated trees ✨

The centre is proudly supported by City of York Council 🤝, enabling it to continue delivering an essential service within the community.

🎉 Celebrating Chesterfield & District ShopMobility as December’s Centre of the Month

As we wrap up our December spotlight, we want to extend a final thank you to Chesterfield & District ShopMobility for the vital work they do every day. 💙
From town centre hires 🛍️ to holiday support 🧳, from community scooter hire 🛵 to repairs and servicing 🔧, this independent centre delivers a wide range of services that help people stay active and independent across Derbyshire.

✨ With over 140 hires every month, a fleet of scooters, powerchairs and wheelchairs, and a fully volunteer-run team 🙌, Chesterfield demonstrates the strength, dedication and heart of our ShopMobility network.
