We have been working with Lander Medical Practice to administer flu and C19 vaccinations to our eligible patients. So far this season, we have administered a total of 8,449 vaccines.

A huge thank you to all our nursing team, volunteers, GPs, receptionists and administrators who have supported us on our Saturday morning clinics. Without a great team like this, this would not be possible.

We are still holding midweek clinics and housebound rounds. Therefore, if you have not yet booked in, please do contact the Practice.

We will soon be inviting our eligible patients to take part in this study if they wish

As many of you know, flu can be serious - particularly for people with underlying health conditions or weakened immune systems. These complications may include severe illness, hospitalisation, or even death. Traditional flu vaccines offer some protection, but are only 40–60% effective, highlighting the need for improved options.

This trial will assess the outcomes of a new flu treatment. We are currently looking for participants who are:
📌Aged 18 or older
📌Not planning to become pregnant
📌Have received their flu vaccination
📌Have one or more of the following health conditions:
✅Heart failure
✅History of ischaemic heart disease
✅Diabetes requiring insulin
✅History of chemotherapy for cancer within the last 5 years
✅Asthma needing daily therapy
✅Kidney disease
✅Pulmonary disease
✅COPD
✅Anyone taking immunosuppressant medicine

The Three Spires Medical Practice is extremely busy and we are currently experiencing high demand for our service.

Due to summer system pressures, staff sickness and leave, the practice has limited appointments to offer over the summer holiday period. Please bear this in mind when contacting the practice.

✔️ Use your preventer (anti-inflammatory) inhaler daily as prescribed

❌ Don’t rely on the blue inhaler alone

🗣 Speak to your doctor if you need your blue inhaler more than twice a week

Seek urgent medical help if your symptoms are not relieved.
