Is your workout helping your body or adding to your stress?

Dr. Rangan Chatterjee has spoken about women exercising several times a week intensely, yet struggling to lose excess fat. When he looked at the bigger picture, many were already juggling work, family and high stress.

High-intensity exercise isn’t harmful in itself. But if your nervous system is constantly “on,” adding more stress without enough recovery can affect sleep, inflammation and hormone balance.

Sometimes the answer isn’t pushing harder — it’s restoring balance.

Next time you are out in nature, I challenge you to really tune into your surroundings. What can you smell, hear and feel on your skin? Notice how it makes you feel - what effect does it have on your emotions? Being mindful in nature will elevate these positive benefits. Bringing awareness to the small things will cultivate a deeper connection

Anchoring is an NLP term used to describe a process for recall or re-activation via either a gesture, a sound or a touch.
Examples of anchoring can also be found in a hypnotherapy session. Here's just one example:
To anchor in feeling happy the suggestion given would be that everytime you tap your bracelet you feel a surge of happiness.
This means that in stressful situations, a person who has used that example as an anchor, can recall or reactivate their
feeling of happiness when then tap their bracelet. Other examples of anchoring include the use of mudra's whilst public speaking.
