Lime House Yoga Creating Community Through Yoga

OPEN STUDIO DAY 2026

Our annual day of free 30-minute tasters returns this Easter Saturday 4th April.

A chance to try something new.
A chance to revisit something familiar.
A chance to book something you wouldn’t normally book.

From meditation to Ayurveda, chanting to ropes, Ashtanga-inspired practice to breath and sound — it’s a small but mighty snapshot of what happens at Lime House throughout the year.

It’s free. It’s friendly. It’s become a bit of a tradition.

Spaces are limited as each taster takes place in half the studio, so booking ahead is wise to grab your spot in your favourites.

Simply find 4th April in the app and book your desired tasters. And if you’ve got a friend who always says, “I should try yoga sometime…” — this is your moment to bring them along. Our
Open Studio Day is designed to be easy. Try ropes. Try meditation. Try chanting. Try something you wouldn’t normally book. No cost, no pressure - just a chance to experience the studio and meet some friendly faces.

We’d love to see you there.

Welcome to March at Lime House 🌷

Sound, spine, suspension and stage.

This month brings a beautiful array of offerings to the studio - from deep rest under the gongs, to intelligent and practical work with the spine, to the quiet support of aerial restorative, and the power of live contemporary dance filling our special space.

We’re always grateful for the range of what can happen within these walls - that in one month you can lie in stillness, strengthen your centre, float in a hammock, or sit in awe of performance.

If you’ve been curious about Jock’s masterclasses, this month’s spinal focus is especially relevant for modern bodies - desk workers, parents, tired shoulders, stiff backs. A practical reset.

The dance performance is already sold out, but you can join the waiting list via the app if you want to try and grab a last minute spot.

Spaces still available for all other workshops 🙏🏻

We hope to see you throughout the month as we officially welcome Spring 🌿

Welcome back, Amy 🌿

We’re very happy to be welcoming Amy Hughes back to the studio this coming Monday after some time away recovering from an operation. She returns to her usual Monday rhythm — Mysore at 7am, followed by Gentle Vinyasa at 10am — and we know many of you have missed her steady, thoughtful presence in the room.

At Lime House, we care deeply about supporting and celebrating our teachers — not just for what they offer in class, but for the depth of experience that underpins their guidance. Amy’s journey through the Ashtanga system has taken her into the 4th Series (no mean feat) and a level of practice that reflects years of study, refinement and relationship with the method.

For those of you who haven’t seen them before, we’re sharing a few images here simply to acknowledge that depth, and to recognise the calibre of teacher we’re so fortunate to have in our studio. It does not evade us.

Alongside her regular classes, Amy also has some beautiful offerings ahead this year, including her June workshop ‘From the Heart’ and our October Ashtanga Immersion Week, which she co-leads with Jock. All details and booking links now live on the website 🙏🏻

For now, we’re simply glad to have her back.
See you on the mat. ✨

Despite the biblical amount of recent rainfall, there’s a subtle sense of change in the air as February unfolds, - a little more light, a hint of colour as bulbs emerge, and the occasional feeling of a warmer sun on our faces.

It’s a lovely time to check in with the body, refresh your practice, and explore something new. We have three workshops coming up this month, each offering something a little different:

🌱 Jock’s Mini Masterclass: Happy, Healthy Hips | 14 Feb

A short, practical masterclass with Jock exploring strength, mobility and ease in the hips - at just £15, it’s an easy way to spend a little extra time on the mat. 🌿

✨ Aerial Yoga Flow | 21 Feb

A playful, dynamic exploration of strength and flow using the aerial hammocks. A completely different way to move — with limited spaces available. 💫

🧘‍♀️ Iyengar Yoga with Ropes | 28 Feb

Lucy Aldridge returns for a focused ropes workshop, exploring alignment, support and space in the body. A distinctive and deeply informative practice, with only 14 places. 🌿

Which one will you choose?

Word of the day: Friable 🌱

Friable (adj): soil that’s beautifully crumbly, free-draining, and a joy to work with - even after all this rain.

In this month’s Lime House garden update, Christine (our wonderful resident gardener and much-loved student) talks us through what’s happening in the borders right now, including dividing plants and working with our very sandy, dune-like soil.

You asked for regular garden updates after our December video, so here we are - a little window into the quieter, growing life of the studio, one month at a time. 💚

More garden musings to come… 🌿

Roxi Returns ✨

We’re so happy to be welcoming Roxi Peacock back to Lime House Yoga after an extended three-month journey in India. It’s been a rich period of study, practice and growth, and we’re really looking forward to having her back in the space and on the mat with us. We loved seeing the photos of some Lime House students who joined her in India on retreat too! 🥰

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Josh, who has so generously held the Monday class during Roxi’s time away. We’re incredibly grateful for his steadiness, care and support over the past few months.

Roxi shares:

“I’ve been in India for the past few months, moving between study, practice, teaching, and a lot of listening. I completed my 300-hour senior teacher training, hosted a yoga retreat, and kept saying yes to learning — through a plant medicine course and voice training. I’ve been practising with a wide range of inspiring teachers, allowing my own practice to be stretched, softened and refined, which has felt so good to receive.

It’s been hot, humbling, expansive and deeply nourishing in ways I’m still integrating. I’m really looking forward to coming home to Cornwall with pockets full of inspiration and new threads to weave into my Ashtanga-inspired classes. I’ve missed the Lime House community and the feeling of moving and breathing together.”

Roxi is back teaching her Ashtanga-inspired class NEXT MONDAY 26th January 6:30-8pm
We can’t wait to welcome her back 💚

Our 300-hour Teacher Training is officially underway, beginning with an opening intensive week last week that brought us together for practice, study and connection. It’s been a grounding, inspiring start - full of thoughtful enquiry, shared learning and the quiet excitement that comes with beginning something meaningful.

This programme will now unfold over the year ahead, and we’re so grateful for this group and the journey we’re stepping into together. A strong, steady beginning - and so much still to come.

1 Week to Go ✨

In just one week, we open the doors for our 2026 300-hour Teacher Training with Jock and Lucinda.

If you’ve felt a spark of interest, a sense of curiosity, or the quiet pull to go deeper, this is your moment. Sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin with one small yes.

A gentle Happy New Year from all of us at the studio. We’re stepping into 2026 with open hearts, grateful for this community and excited for the practice, learning and connection the year ahead will bring.

January is full of beautiful offerings - from the start of our 300-hour Teacher Training, to aerial yin and sound baths, visiting teachers, backbending workshops, and another FREE online week of morning meditation with Lucinda. A soft, steady way to begin again.

New Years Eve Reflections✨

As we step into a brand new year, we wanted to take a moment to look back at all the laughter, learning, practice and community we’ve shared at Lime House Yoga. From early-morning Mysore to candlelit evenings, from workshops and visiting teachers to simple everyday moments on the mat — it’s been a beautiful year, and we’re so grateful for each part of it.

Thank you for every class you’ve shown up for, every breath, every smile, every shared cup of tea in the reception. The studio is what it is because of the people who move through it — and that’s you. 💚

And now, onward. We can’t wait for another year of practice, connection and growth together — welcoming new teachers, returning favourites, visiting guests, retreats, trainings and all the magic that unfolds when this community gathers.

Here’s to softness, strength, and steady beginnings.

And the happiest of birthdays to Emma today, we love you Mrs Lime House! 🥳

Happy New Year from all of us at Lime House Yoga. 🌿
