Energise Your Soles Hello,

I am a qualified, registered nurse with a background in working within the community. I have a husband and daughter and we live in Truro.

I am a qualified and insured foot health practitioner (SMAE Institute Diploma level 7) and Degree level retired nurse, offering a mobile service in and around Truro👣 I trained and qualified as an advanced level 7 foot health practitioner with the SMAE Institute in March 2024. I am originally from Surrey but moved to Cornwall, Mullion in 1998. I am insured, registered and DBS checked, and my nursing background and experience aid in foot care planning for all my clients. All my instruments are excellent quality and 'gold standard' sterilised using a sonic cleaner and an autoclave machine. Many clients see me regularly for foot care and some need help and advice for callus, corns or verruca's going forward. The first visit cost is £50.00 which includes:

Obtaining a full medical history inc. medications,
A doppler test to check for arterial status to the foot
Monofilament test to identify any peripheral neuropathy
Assessment and up to an hours treatment

Subsequent visits are at a cost of £40.00

What a busy 6 months it’s been! I’m now able to offer reflexology to reenergise your tense tired feet.

Watch this space, I will soon be offering a prosthetic nail solution for those who want to hide a damaged toe nail!

I invest in keeping up to date with clinical advances in nail and and foot care twice a year! I will be attending the South West Branch of the British Chiropody & Podiatry Association (BCPASW) in Devon in November ensuring I can bring this into my practice for the benefit of my clients.

Last but not least I will be introducing a clinic to those who are outside of my 8 mile radius of Truro! This will commence on November 2025.

I have been dealing with sore areas on feet today. These are often caused by tight shoes/slippers! Especially as our feet can swell in this heat! Always check you have some wiggle room! Continuous pressure can result in callus, corns, pressure sores, even ulceration. Especially if you are diabetic.

It’s coming to the end of a busy week, one highlight was taking my dog Billy to meet a client who lost their dog a while back and were missing animal contact. 20 years ago I had a traumatic ankle break needing metal plates and 11 screws! I love to walk therefore appreciate the importance of good footwear. I recently bought some Merrell sandals and I have walked about 30000 steps over the last few days and I have to say, that these were utter winners in the comfort and support scale!
