Some exercise feels like something else to fit in. Nordic walking fits around real life. You turn up, move, breathe, and carry on with your day feeling better than when you arrived. That ease is why people keep it.

💬 “Cannot recommend enough, great instructor and lovely people to walk with, and after sharing a chat and coffee. Good for body and soul!!!!”

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback 💛
We’re so glad you’ve found not just movement, but community. That post-walk chat and coffee really is part of the magic.

Cross-body movement keeps the brain involved.
Nordic walking requires coordination, timing, and rhythm with every step.
This supports cognitive engagement more than normal walking.
Movement becomes mentally as well as physically active.

Not sure if it’s for you? That’s what the Beginners Workshop is for. No commitment, just a try-it-and-see session, and yes, we’ve got poles you can use.

If you’re watching the weather try this it’s so interesting and just a little addictive. As an instructor/walk leader we need to watch the weather for our risk assessments and this is just one app that’s useful.

A much warmer start today, and we made the most of the calm before tomorrow’s winds arrive.

This morning began with a Level 2 walk on the North Woodland loop. Steady pace, sheltered paths, and a really enjoyable way to start the day.

This afternoon slowed things down nicely with a relaxed Nordic walk around the gardens with our Level 1 walkers.

And a big happy birthday to Tracy. 🎂🎁 A great way to spend it out Nordic walking.

A proper chilly start this morning, rewarded with frosty woodland views on our Nordic walk at Trelissick. Once everyone arrived safely, we set off through the trees, great company, winter light, and that satisfying crunch underfoot.

A wintery start to our Monday Nordic walk at Tehidy Country Park had us wrapped up and slightly unsure what the morning would bring.

Then the sunshine turned up.

Cool air, beautiful light through the trees, and one of those walks where everything settles into place. Easy conversation, steady movement, and a reminder of why we head out whatever the weather.

We finished the only way we ever should. A well earned cuppa at Tehidy Café and a good catch up.

A very good Monday with Walk Kernow.

Well, that was a fresh one to kick off the New Year.

A brisk loop around Loe Pool and Loe Bar, cold air in the lungs and sunshine on our faces. Finished the only sensible way, coffee at the Stables on the way back.

Bright, breezy, and exactly what New Year legs needed. A pretty great start to 2026.

Happy New Year everyone.

Huge thanks to you all our regulars for turning up, getting stuck in, and making the walks such good fun. It really wouldn’t be the same without you.

Here’s to more fresh air, muddy shoes, good chats, plenty more miles together in 2026, and of course the cheese scones at National Trust - Trelissick

Looking forward to getting back out Nordic walking with you all.
