IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Valued Lives has been supporting people to manage their health for nearly 4 years. This includes crisis cafes and the supported return home scheme on behalf of the local NHS, which has supported more than 7,000 people and their families.
It’s been a real privilege to know we’ve hopefully supported people to manage their mental health, but it’s with huge regret that we are letting you know that we have had to give the NHS notice on these contracts. This has been a really difficult decision to make, and we know this may come as a surprise, particularly if you have recently been supported by us.
This means that from 9th February 2022 Valued Lives will stop providing the crisis cafes and will no longer see people.
If you have been supported by us in the past and have a membership number, you can continue to get help until 2 March 2022 by calling our booking line 0800 260 6759.
If you need urgent support during this time, please call the Mental Health Crisis Cornwall helpline on 0800 038 5300. You can find more details here www.cornwallft.nhs.uk/mental-health-crisis-cornwall
NHS Kernow is committed to finding a new company to provide this service and will share details as soon as a new service is in place.
The Valued Lives charity will continue smaller community-based projects with a focus on wellbeing promotion and early intervention. Updates on this will be announced in due course.
Thank you for your understanding and we wish you well for the future.
