And so, it begins. Its the first day of the renovation project, but before we can build it better, we have to tare down the old stuff. no turning back now.

What a wonderful Valentines session we had last week at the Hub. Roses, love hearts and great music from Bob Seymour. We even had a bit of a dance too.

Super session and a good time was had by all who attended.

In December we delivered over 20 Cosy Crates of goodies and gifts to isolated people in our community alongside Imagine If Partnership and Ponsanooth Wellbeing Hub. The initiative was a huge success - read all about it in the latest Imagine If blog here:

It is with great sadness I must speak of the passing of one of our former members, and my dear friend Freda. Thankfully I had wonderful visit with her on her 103 birthday last month. She was a one off. Rest easy, my lovely.

Delivery of 20 Cosy Crates by the team from our Hub and from Ponsanooth Wellbeing Hub Hub will happen right here in Carnon Downs, Perranwell Station and the surrounding area tomorrow.

We wanted to say a great big thank you to the Community Matrons, Nurses and their team for identifying people in the community who we can deliver the crates too. Also thanks to LoyalBee nursing for their help with making this project possible.

So the Make My Day Cosy Crates project is well underway now. We were out and about yesterday picking up some of the filled crates from Kennall Vale Primary School, who have done an amazing job of collecting items to go in our Cosy Crates. We are very excited to be delivering these boxes full of goodies to people in Perranwell Station, Carnon Downs and Ponsanooth communities next Weds. Look out for us on the 20th and give us a wave.

We had our final Hub session of 2023 today, and we had a lovely Festive day, with a Christmas Quiz, a visit from Perranwell Playgroup, and carols with Emma, as well as a pasty lunch and cake. What more could you ask for? We're meeting our members at Beefeater Carnon Inn on the 20th of Dec for a pre-Christmas drink and then we're off for a few weeks until Christmas.

Last week our Lead Volunteer Coordinator Sue went to visit the wonderful Frieda, who turned 103 on the 7th of December. Freida used to come to our Hub and was a regular member since its inception. Sue took her a potted rose and chocolates to share with the other residents of the home she's now in and she was thrilled we had remembered her. How could we forget such a super lady.

This December we're delivering 20+ Cosy Crates to the community around Perranwell Station, Carnon Downs and Ponsanooth - reaching people who are unable to get to the Hubs.
