Ladies and Gentlemen, we have an announcement 📣 📣

Longview is delighted to introduce Andy, our new Registered Manager.

Andy has huge shoes to fill, taking over from Kan and our interim manager Jules, but he is ready and perfect for the challenge.

Andy is a registered nurse and joins us with a huge career behind him, a wealth of experience and a commitment to Longview.

I’m sure lots of you have met him all ready, but if not, do say ‘Hi’ by phone, email or in person.

Andy is now into his third week at Longview and is working extremely hard to meet everyone, staff, residents and relatives.

As you get to know him, we look forward to working with him and continue providing the excellent care to our residents that we are recognised for.

Longview’s future is bright 🌟🌟

As another week closes, we are reflecting on some of the highlights here at Longview, and on that note, we would like to declare our first summer BBQ a huge success!

We have the perfect setting for a BBQ, (infact our gardens lend themselves perfectly for most events) and the weather was kind to us too. Our residents, families and the Longview team all enjoyed a lovely afternoon and there were lots of happy faces and full tummy’s!

Make sure you keep an eye on this page for up and coming events and if you weren’t able to attend this time be sure not to miss out again.

It’s been a fun and eventful week here at Longview!
Along with our regular entertainment and singers, we have had a mix of wholesome activities for our residents.
Here you can see our expert bakers showing us their talents, preparing Butterfly Cupcakes, with a large sprinkling of laughter!

Our Open day last weekend saw us all enjoying our stunning gardens here at Longview.

Truro City Band christened our new summer house, playing happily in the shade as our residents enjoyed the tunes and fabulous weather 🎼🎵☀️☀️

There were lots of happy faces as we kept ourselves refreshed in the sweltering heat with fresh, chilled, cloudy lemonade.

Come and join us for an afternoon of friendly fun next time! You will be very welcome.

Today at Longview we enjoyed a wonderful visit from ZooLab.

ZooLab work with many weird and wonderful creatures and today it was our turn to spend some quality time with them!

Animal assisted therapy has far reaching positive benefits on people, particularly those who live with Dementia.

Animals and reptiles promote social behaviours and increase energy levels as well as triggering memories in some cases.

Here at Longview we have been enjoying the recent beautiful Weather with performances and many other activities, Including Word searches/ Crosswords, pamper days, Gardening, Arts and Crafts along with a visit from Sophie Our Activities Co Ordinator and her Son Reggie which the residents thoroughly enjoyed!

We are hiring! Are you a compassionate and dedicated leader in care? We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our warm and welcoming team at Longview Care Home, in Goonhavern. This is a full-time post with a competitive salary and benefits. The role will be to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home and to lead and inspire our amazing care team. CQC Rating – Good.
