Our Story

“EYE vision boutique was built to reflect our appreciation of well-made things and sets out to be a destination shop of everything about glasses. It is a personal business and run exclusively by its owner, Dr Henning Tonsgaard, an accomplished Optometrist and Dispensing Optician, striving “to do things his way” with real quality and style. His work is defined by his dedication and indeed expert understanding of eyes and vision.

Visiting EYE vision boutique you can expect to receive comprehensive eye examinations with modern testing equipment in pleasant surroundings that enable us to perform our clinical assessments and also deliver an exclusive retail experience. Our consultations are tailor made for our patients’ needs and extend beyond the standard NHS requirements. Specialist optometric advice is available for Children’s vision assessments, Low Vision consultations; Dry Eye management, Contact Lens fittings; pre and post Refractive Surgery assessments and Sports Vision advice.

We host carefully chosen selections of glasses that boast modern designs, handcrafted finish and interesting materials and we are particularly delighted to be able to offer spectacles that are eco-friendly, as well as beautiful.

It simply doesn't end there, EYE is committed to bring you expert advice on high quality lenses by world leading companies, lenses that are chosen to match your lifestyle needs; perfect fitting of your frames and the appropriate dispensing guidance and support. In Henning’s own worlds: “Your glasses have to look great and work as they should. My moto is simply taking the time to listen to my customers and do the job right the first time. It is also an absolute pleasure to be able to provide a complete service, serving my customers from start to finish”, admitting that this is not the usual style but certainly the way to achieve that level of perfection.
