Catheter and Stoma Care Awareness
Introducing a new theory and practical half day course for anyone who privately or professionally supports someone with a catheter or a stoma.
The course provides healthcare essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively provide catheter and stoma care. The course is designed for care homes or community settings and includes awareness level theory around caring for catheters and stomas.
The practical element includes changing and emptying catheter and stoma bags and a comprehensive competency assessment which offers auditable evidence for staff members and care providers.
Course contents:
