Ending the week with more fabulous news. A lady I worked with after four rounds of IVF last year just sent me this:
‘We welcomed our baby girl on the 31st May. Thank you so much, you were so kind to me as I was just so, so anxious and I really appreciate it’.
Finally a success on the 5th round using Acupuncture to support her emotionally and physically. I couldn’t go into the weekend happier!
Enjoy the sunshine!

So many exciting things happening in the next few weeks but first……my new treatment room. Doesn’t it look fab? Not quite finished but first day working here today. I’m still in the same building but I’m now just across the corridor. I now have a lovely waiting area too. Proper photos soon but don’t the sweet peas look wonderful? A present from my lovely mum for my first day. Book in to see me via my website.

Happy Summer Solstice. The longest hours of daylight and a time of abundance. The Earth is in a state of full Yang. Everything is in bloom. Including us! Who doesn’t want to be out with friends this time of year enjoying the warm evenings with a drink or two? This is considered the pinnacle of summer and all the joy, and heat, it brings. Enjoy. Xx

I’ve had a few concerned enquiries this week asking where the creepy Easter bunnies are. I had forgotten about them. Shocking because no one loves a themed window and fairy light more than me! So here they are. A little late but they’ve made a few people smile today and ask the annual question - why is the wire coming out of their heads? Another year and I still don’t have the answer. 😂 🐣 🐰

Just to let you know I will be closed next week to generally hang out with the boys whilst eating mini eggs. Perfect. I’ll be answering calls but may be a bit slower in responding than usual. I’ve got one space left tomorrow at 4.30pm so give me a call if you’re interested.

This is my favourite type of message to receive. This lady used acupuncture to support her through IVF including treatments before and after transfer. It’s the happiest of news and I always feel so privileged to be allowed to play a small part of it.

It’s probably hard to believe on such a grey day but I actually took this photo yesterday evening when out walking Zorro. It was the most beautiful evening and this wonderful Magnolia tree is ready to bloom. No surprise really as the Spring Equinox has now passed. In Chinese medicine this actually symbolises the peak of Spring and not the beginning. The Earth is in the perfect balance between Yin and Yang, Spring is often referred to as the Luxuriant Gem. Something I could see perfectly yesterday with daffodils, primroses, camellias and magnolias. Beautiful. With all this Yang rising it’s also the time for head complaints and allergies to flair up. If you can relate book yourself in for a seasonal treatment. Embrace the blue skies when you see them.

Delivery day! Always exciting when a new consignment of needles arrives. It’s been really busy so far this year, it makes me so happy that people are embracing acupuncture. If you’re thinking about giving it a go but feel a bit unsure just call me. I’m always happy to discuss how and if it can help you and any concerns you may have.

I am not a January person but seeing the sun catch my decorations ready for Chinese New Year on Sunday did bring me joy. As have the gorgeous walks with Zorro this week. I much prefer the cold and frost to the endless rain. And so does he. I’m biased. But he is so cute. Have a lovely weekend all. Xx

I have borrowed this but I thought it summed up my feelings about New Year perfectly. Tomorrow does not mean we have to launch into some crazy new, supposedly improved, version of ourselves. I think it’s far more useful to reflect more on the things we feel proud of and love for and what has bought us the most happiness over the past twelve months and aim for more of that. Thank you to all my clients this year and to everyone who has handed out my number and sent friends and family along, it means the world to me. I’ve had a lovely restful break and very looking forward to getting back into the treatment room but in the meantime have a wonderful evening. Xx

It’s Winter Solstice today, a special day in Chinese Medicine. The shortest day and the longest night. A time to move inwards and rest, to go to bed early and rise later. It’s also been my last day in clinic and I’m off now until January 5th and I’m very much looking forward to time at home with family and friends. But don’t forget that at this darkest time of the year when we are in full Yin, it’s also the birth of Yang. One cannot exist without the other. So whilst we feel the cold of winter it also allows the birth of summer. Have a restful evening. Xx
