Hi everyone!

I am a specialist Children's Occupational Therapist based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I am just returning from maternity leave and am setting up again in Tunbridge Wells since moving into the area a year ago!

I work primarily with children from nursery through to secondary school, but am able to support up to early adulthood. Through my clinical experience, I specialise in working with children with motor, sensory, attention, regulation and behavioural challenges impacting on their daily life. This includes supporting children with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD/Dyspraxia), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Developmental Delay, and specific learning needs. I have also been developing my skills in supporting children with physical difficulties, such as cerebral palsy.

I am able to provide advice, coaching, problem-solving and training to parents/caregivers and school staff, and give general/equipment recommendations. I am also able to offer holistic individualised assessment for your child, including sensory-based and EHCP assessments, and intervention across a variety of settings and areas as outlined below:

• Sensory processing difficulties (including assessment, training and advice, implementing sensory strategies)
• Emotional regulation and associated behavioural challenges (including programmes such as The Alert Dial and Zones of Regulation). I also have some experience working with children with PDA.
• Attention and access to learning
• Play skills (including developing joint attention skills, and use of play-based strategies to promote development across other areas)
• Fine motor skills (including strength, dexterity, in-hand manipulation, scissor skills, and mark-making)
• Gross motor skills (including core and upper body strengthening, motor planning and co-ordination, balance, body awareness, ball skills and postural needs, including seating as required)
• Self-care skills:
- Toileting (including pre-toileting skills and toilet training)
- Eating and Drinking (including restricted food tolerance/fussy eaters, cutlery skills)
- Dressing
- Washing and Grooming Tasks
- Meal Preparation
• Sleep
• Handwriting/Recording Work (including motor and visual perception difficulties)
• Behavioural challenges
• Home Safety Advice
