Tunbridge Wells Care Centre provides nursing, dementia, respite and residential care.

Tunbridge Wells Care Centre is a modern, purposely and sensitively built 70 bedded nursing home situated in a pleasant residential area of Tunbridge Wells. It is easily accessible by road and public transport and local shops and amenities are just a short walk away.

Today our residents had some very special visitors from The Amelia Scott, who shared some historical objects from their collection. It was amazing to see and touch some beautifully preserved relics from the past

🐛 Caterpillars 🐛 Spring has sprung and TWCC has some wriggly new visitors! Today we have watched our caterpillars start to grow and crafted some of our own crawly creations

We celebrated St Patrick's Day with a bit of colouring and arts and crafts with our lovely preschool children. 🍀🌈

This afternoon we were back out in the garden doing some more planting of dalias, primroses and we also planted our vegetable seeds to go in our greenhouse! Fingers crossed they will be successful! 🧤🪏🌱

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸
Residents at TWCC celebrated everything this special day means to them today. We enjoyed some craft and bubbles this afternoon, and many residents spent quality time with their families and loved ones.

Today, we got a head start on our spring gardening and were out in our warm jumpers to plant polyanthus, begonias and marigolds. Residents (and staff!) enjoyed getting their hands dirty and creating a lovely display in our raised bed.

Today, we celebrated our wonderful deputy manager Don's birthday! Don has become a firm favourite within the home with staff and relatives alike and his calm and personable nature is always welcoming.

On the left of the picture is our home manager Donna. Donna is an integral part of TWCC who manages everyone expertly and her door is always open for a chat!

On the right we have Artur and Karim who work in our fabulous kitchen. They are responsible for the wonderful array of food that is served to the residents and they are fabulous at making sure all dietary requirements are fulfilled and that it all looks and tastes delicious!

Our care home cannot run effectively without these vital staff members and we appreciate them every day!

Today we had the children from St Luke's Preschool spreading lots of love and cheer as we did some colouring and arts and crafts ahead of Mother's Day. The children and residents loved using the stickers to decorate their mother's day bouquet and we all spoke about why we love our mums.

Some popular replies were: because she plays with me, because she is so loving and kind, because she gives me cuddles.

What is it about your mum (or grandma!) that makes them so special? We would love to hear them X

This afternoon we had the wonderful Andy Mace come and sing for us. The residents really enjoy his powerful voice and his infectious charm! We look forward to having Andy back to sing again in the summer! 🌞🎙️🎵

Today at our tea and coffee morning, residents celebrated St Piran's Day (National Day of Cornwall) with Cornish pasties, cheese and onion pasties and Cornish music. We also said farewell to our three ducks (June, Brenda and Lucky) who have gone to live on a smallholding. This will mean that we can get on with making our garden looking as colourful as possible this year with various plants and flowers! Please speak to the activities team if you have any ideas or if you have any plants to donate, it will be most welcome! ☀️🦆🌷

Yesterday, our residents were treated to more animal encounters! Naomi from Animalia Encounters brought more animals with her for the residents to interact with including a snake, a bearded dragon and a frog! We enjoyed learning about these wonderful animals and Naomi was so knowledgeable. 🐸🐰🐍🦎🐢

Meet our wonderful Reception/Admin team who ensure the smooth running of the home behind the scenes! Violetta, Rynagh, Sara and Linda are integral to life here at TWCC. They all enjoy engaging with residents and their families and are always ready to greet visitors with a welcoming smile! 😁
