This month has been filled with festive fun for our residents, which means all sorts of Christmas crafts to get involved with.

Whether it's baking mince pies, making Christmas cards, or kitting out the tree, we've been making the most out of the holiday season!

A big heartfelt thank you to the pupils from Tonbridge School who have written lovely letters to our Birchwood House residents this year.

This means a lot and everyone's really enjoyed reading them. ❤️

Our beautiful Birchwood House Christmas tree is looking even more lovely this year thanks to the generous people at Asda who donated cards and gifts to all of our residents! 🎄

What a wonderful gesture - we're so touched. We really appreciate this special community initiative.

Pembury is filled with hidden gems, and we're so lucky to have it on our doorstep. With a mix of rural charm and stunning views, it's no wonder it was voted one of the nicest places to live in the UK!

It's also known for its community spirit, and there is so much to get involved in. There's events, activities, and independent shops all waiting to be explored.

Our White Christmas party is still talked about to this day! The snow machine was brilliant, and every room in the home looked straight out of a movie scene.

At the minute, we're seeing a big spread of ARIs (Acute Respiratory Infections) around Kent.

These aren't fun for anyone, but they can be particularly threatening to older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.

To help stop the spread, here's some things to keep in mind:

💚 Vaccinations - stay up to date with flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines
💚 Distancing - avoid close contact with others who are ill, and open the windows to improve air quality and ventilation
💚 Hygiene - wash your hands regularly, avoid touching your face, and disinfect surfaces frequently

Prevention is key for keeping people safe, and all adults aged 65 or over are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine.

It's not just about protecting ourselves, but for protecting the people around us.
