Tonight I went to choral evensong at York Minister. After two and half years travelling the world and visiting some incredible places of worship for Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Jains and Buddhists, it was very special to go back to my Christian roots and experience evensong at the largest gothic cathedral in north Europe. It really was something to hear such beautiful choral music in this incredible 500 year old cathedral. 🙏.

My Last day in Rishikesh …
What a fantastic day 🙏

The day started with Fire puja followed by Kirtan at an ancient temple with and then a beautiful flower offering to Ma Ganga.

A longish walk through the old ashrams and bit of forest to another ancient temple - Bhoothnath and a Shiva blessing at the top of many steps.

Much chai (well me drinking chai!), snacking and chat with along the way. A spot of last minute shopping and then back in time for a final Ganga Aarti and dinner.

A wonderful end to my time here in Rishikesh.

Tomorrow I head to Delhi then home (via Dubai)

See you soon India 🇮🇳 I miss you already! 🙏

Sights and sounds of my first 24 hours in Rishikesh.

Chai at Sai ghat, a classical Indian music concert at .rishikesh with and

Early morning Fire puja at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram - Rishikesh breakfast with a catch up and a dip in the Ganga …

A walk across the new bridge connecting the two sides of Rishikesh, it’s not finished but it’s semi open!

A trip to the bookshop - only bought one book I was so good 😉

Bumping into loads of people I know - so nice!

And an invite to the wedding party tomorrow (the same wedding that kept me up last night 😂)

And then real life stuff ..

Sorting out the hotel for my retreat group and paying deposit
A visit to the opticians for eye test and new glasses
Booked dentist appointment
Bit of laundry!
And organised a Hindi lesson for Tuesday
I feel a bit tired now. Maybe I should rest a bit 😂😂. #

As I head today to my spiritual home in Rishikesh India, I’m reflecting on a great last week in the MacLeod Ganj area.

After living 7 weeks in a small Himalayan village above the Tibetan influenced town of MacLeod ganj, this has now become my second home too!

A few last photos.

A waterfall hike and brunch and many breakfasts with the gorgeous from Brazilian.

Breakfast with local yoga teacher and goddess , and dinner with Sandy, a very experienced yoga teacher from the States.

A final Kirtan with my Bhakti brothers and , a final visit to the Dalai Lama’s temple, lunch with Monus beautiful family and a last night Kirtan with .

Great memories 🙏
And now time for the next chapter. Rishikesh here I come! 🕉️

This temple is the real thing.
Real ta***ic goddess power…..

It’s where Bollywood stars and senior politicians go for puja. And yesterday evening it’s where I went.

I took part in a private puja (fire ritual/ceremony).

I didn’t take any pictures during the puja or during visit to the temple as I wanted to be fully present.

I’m not going to comment here anymore as it was a very personal experience. But wow the energy was real and it was transformative!

Thank you to for coming with me, organising taxi and puja, translating the pundits words, explaining the rituals and finding great spot for dinner after! 🙏🇮🇳🕉️. ***ic ***ictemple ❤️ ❤️❤️ ***icgoddess
