Today is Social Prescribing Day where we celebrate the people, organisations and communities who make Social Prescribing happen!
Many things that affect our health can't be treated by doctors or medicine alone (like loneliness/debt or stress due to financial pressures or poor housing). Social prescribing connects people to non-medical support to address these issues or other unmet needs.
For more information: https://socialprescribingacademy.org.uk/what-is-social-prescribing/
In Tunbridge Wells we're lucky enough to have a Social Prescriber Sophie who can help support our patients - please contact your GP Practice to be referred!

What is social prescribing? It's a way of connecting people with activities, groups and services that improve their health and wellbeing.
