✨⭐️✨ It's Homeopathy Awareness week so I thought to give you a glimpse of my work as a homeopath in my practice 💛
A Day in my Online Homeopathy Clinic
These days my clinic days are always full so I often start clinic as early as 8.30 am. First job in the morning, however, is to answer my emails that have come in overnight. Enquiries from new clients and general phone enquiries will mainly be dealt with before I see my first client at 9am. My consultations are held via Zoom or Google Meet though home visit consultations can be accommodated on request for anyone local.
On a typical morning I see up to 3 patients - follow-up consults last up to an hour, whereas the initial consultation takes up to 2 hours. An in-depth consultation is essential in both first and subsequent sessions as to fully assess, analyse and to then prescribe the correct homeopathic medicine. After lunch break I resume clinic and, depending on whether I see a client for the first time, a regular follow-up session or a patient who seeks help for an acute condition, I might see up to 5 more clients. I mainly prescribe there and then, meaning at the end of the consultation. If a case is more complex, I will spend extra time to analyse the case data in order to prescribe the correct remedy. This has to wait until after I have finished clinic. Prescriptions will be posted to the client on the day of the consultation or, if the client is local, they will collect on the following day.
Who do I treat? I have a general practice and thus I am treating people with a variety of health issues and conditions, be it an acute condition, such like colds, flu, coughs, earaches, tummy upsets etc, to chronic and more complex conditions, such like arthritis & rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, hay fever, skin conditions, thyroid problems, adrenal fatigue, anxiety disorder, depression, insomnia, childhood behavioural problems to mention a few. I see babies & toddlers, school kids, teenagers and adults of any age group in my clinic. Clients who I have treated successfully years ago come back as soon as a new health issue arises. At least 50% of my daily practice encompasses both children and family health. I encourage my clients to buy a Homeopathy Basic 18 or 36 Remedies Kit from Helios (our local homeopathy pharmacy in Tunbridge Wells), so that they have access to homeopathic remedies at any time.
Many of my ongoing clients, particularly mothers who have young kids, further their knowledge by doing my ‘Homeopathy First Aid Course’ which I currently offer twice yearly. Here they learn about how homeopathy can help their family for coughs, colds, flu, tummy bugs, bumps and bruises.
