Another year massaging at Run Balmoral with Micaiah Jakeman Sports & Injury Clinic, as always a fantastic day massaging runners pre and post event. Great to see familiar faces and meeting new people. The weather is always a hit or a miss but this year was a new one with snow on the back of storm Dave, but at least the sun was out ☀️😎 and in the words of Billy Connelly “There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes!”
Kudos to the runners who braved the elements! And huge thanks to Micaiah who makes it possible each year 🫶🏼🏃‍♀️🥇😁🏰

So today I was at a workshop at body logic in Ellon learning IASTM - instrument assisted soft tissue Mobilisation, Linda Currie was our tutor, Linda has a BA in sport in the community, She was a wealth of knowledge, having worked in the industry for 20 years and has provided soft tissue therapy for elite sport for over a decade including the Scottish Institute for Sport, the Scottish Football Association and also for Team Scotland at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. It was really good learning from her and trying out all the different tools and techniques that I will be integrating into my treatments at the Zen Den 😁

📣update📣 due to ongoing road works on chapel street etc, any of my customers coming here today or the rest of the week can park outside my front door in the lane, seeing as there is limited parking else where, thanks.

At 4pm on the 21st of June a friend and customer of mine Gary, will be doing an amazing endurance challenge by running 24 hour laps of Turriff show ground!!! all to raise money for a really good charity Ronald McDonald House Glasgow.

This charity provide free accommodation for families to ensure they can be with their sick children during very difficult times.
This has special meaning to Gary as the charity helped his family out when his nephew become poorly with a Brain tumour and his treatment was right down in Glasgow, Gary will always be grateful for how they helped out.
