Ever wondered what we actually do, or thought you might like to get involved?
There are plenty of ways to help, and it’s not all physical work.

If you enjoy the more secretarial or organisational side, we’d love to have you.

If you’re someone who likes planning events, coordinating activities, or helping us get out and about, you’d be very welcome too.

There’s a place for every skill set — and every pair of hands makes a difference.

Today we received the most brilliant surprise — a bundle of handwritten thank‑you cards from the pupils at Turriff Primary after our CPR awareness sessions.

Their words, drawings, and enthusiasm say everything about why teaching lifesaving skills matters. These young people are growing up confident, capable, and ready to help others when it counts.

A huge well done to every pupil from P1–P7, and thank you to the staff for welcoming us so warmly. Moments like this remind us that building a safer community starts with our youngest learners.

CPR Awareness at Turriff Primary School

I’ve just had two brilliant days at Turriff Primary School delivering CPR awareness sessions to every class from P1 to P7, and the pupils’ enthusiasm was incredible.

A huge shout‑out to the Voluntary Cardiac Responder and Student Paramedics from RGU. Their hands‑on demos and energy helped bring everything to life and showed pupils what real emergency response looks like.

The children threw themselves into every activity, and it was inspiring to see how quickly they connected with the basics. Helping young people feel more aware and confident strengthens our whole community.

A massive thank‑you to the staff and pupils for such a warm welcome and two unforgettable days.

Across the UK, community first responders (CFRs) play a vital role in saving lives. Trained volunteers are often first on the scene in medical emergencies, providing critical care before ambulance crews arrive.

CFRs schemes operate with limited funding, relying on public support to equip themselves with essential items such as defibrillators, first aid supplies, and uniforms.

Turriff First Responders needs your help so we can provide the tools and training we need to save lives in our community.

Donate today and help make every second count!

Huge thank you to Turriff Running Club for raising funds for Turriff First Responders from their 5k and 10k event today👏🏼

Turriff Running Club have already kindly donated to TFR in the past and have enabled us to purchase further equipment, including our 2 new kit bags. As the TFR team is growing, it is essential we can equip all Responders for more coverage in the community. The donations from today will go towards further training equipment and uniform.

Well done to all runners who took part and being a part of fundraising for our very important team!

TFR 💙⛑️
