Getting ready for the public holiday? 🗓️

Some NHS services may have different opening times on Monday 4 May, so a little planning now can help you stay well.

✅ Check GP and pharmacy opening times
Make sure you know when your GP practice and local pharmacy are open, and order any repeat prescriptions in good time. We will be open May Day and Turriff Medical Practice will be closed.

✅ Make use of your local pharmacy
Pharmacists can help with minor illnesses and provide advice and treatment – often without an appointment. www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk/nhs-grampian/pages/public-holiday-opening-hours

✅ Keep a few essentials at home
Having items like pain relief, allergy tablets, indigestion remedies and a basic first aid kit can help you manage common minor illnesses.

✅ Know where to get help
If you’re unwell and your GP practice is closed, NHS 24 and NHS inform can help you find the right care.

⚠️ MEDICATION RECALL ALERT - UK WIDE⚠️

Ramipril 10mg Capsules manufactured by Crescent Pharma Limited are being recalled as a precautionary measure (Batch Number GR174091).

Some cartons of Ramipril 10mg Capsules may contain blister strips of Ramipril 5mg Capsules

Ramipril is used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure and kidney disease. Taking a lower dose than prescribed is expected to have a gradual rather than immediate or life threatening impact, but it is still important to act promptly.

🔍 What to check:
Check the blister strips inside your Ramipril 10mg carton. The correct strips should be labelled “10mg” and contain light grey and dark green capsules marked with “R” on the cap and “10” on the body. If your strips are labelled 5mg, you have the wrong medication.

📞 What to do:
Contact your pharmacy in the first instance; you can contact us on 01888 562403. Even if you are unsure or have any questions, please get in touch our team will be more than happy to help.
