Hey everyone,

Just a little update to share. 🪻🪻

Earlier this year we were unsure if we were going to a small here in beautiful , northeast of . The challenging weather at the beginning of the year, and a very water logged field that took an age to dry out gave us cause for concern. So much work and time went into preparing the field last year that it felt quite disheartening to give up on the vision. So we decided to put a bit more drainage in and hope its enough to help the field be a happier home for our soon to be lavenders.

has sprung and there's no holding us back now, well perhaps a little, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

And it's the first cut of the year. Thankful to see the today and our first too.

What a crazy start to the year it was, the weather totally against any hope of moving forward with our dream to grow a small lavender field. Lots of talks about not doing it, challenging environment, clay soil, field floods and so on, yet here we are with the sun , moving tentatively forward with hope to start our pretty little in April. 😃🪻☀️

What a crazy few days it has been here in the of . So many people have been challenged with the amount of snow that has descended upon us. I do hope that everyone has been okay and stayed and too. 🙏

Having had so much snow it has made Harry and I rethink the potential issues we may face by planting a lavender field this year, should we experience this level of fall in the future. I doubt would survive the extreme weather conditions that we have faced over the past few days. We have not made a definite decision as to what we will do moving forward but we will keep you posted over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy some of the pics of our corner of the .

As we come to the end of a , which involved digging up a huge amount of soil, shaping the beds, having around 30 tons of new delivered (due to having clay soil), 12 tons of sand then all the shovelling 😅, a fence erected and 8 , I think we're well on our way to achieving our of creating our pretty little . 💜

All that's left to do is to continue laying heavy duty covers to reduce grass growth ..great when the wind doesn't blow the darn things off. 🤦

I often like it's difficult in such a part of the . Then I'm reminded why I here when I come across little that ooze . It's truly a part of the to live in, albeit there are challenges such as weather, long etc, it's worth all the moments of you .🩵

As you may know we are on a little to a small field in the north east of next year. We have absolutely no idea if it will work, but we hope it will. It's a for sure but nothing nothing . 😄

I started out on this for two reasons, one to find a source that can help my and , and two for my absolute of lavender. Surrounding ourselves amongst these beautiful brings a sense of being , all whilst in . The perfect environment to kickstarter start your own too.

As we enter into the months next year and when will begin, we will of the we aim to offer. We are still very much in the early stages of planning, so bear with us as we what's to come.
